Who wants to go see Captain Jack Sparrow again?I do!!!As I surely am aware of,gajjillions of you must have eagerly been awaiting the fourth series of the highly commercial pirate movie,Pirates of the Caribbean-On Stranger Tides'.Capt.Jack returns..................this time without a boat or crew or Will Turner & Mrs.Elizabeth Turner.
Someone has been in London all this while impersonating Capt.Jack Sparrow(Johnny Depp). The impostor has been gathering a crew and a ship to go in search of the 'Fountain of Youth',the map to which the real Capt.Sparrow possesses.Through a series of events,he ends up sailing the waters on 'Queen Anne's Revenge' under the captaincy of the feared pirate,Blackbeard(Ian McShane).Apparently they aren't the only ones seeking this magical place as the Spanish as well as the British Navy, commanded by Captain Barbossa(Geoffrey Rush) want to get there for their own personal reasons. The rest of the journey to the miracle fountain is what the whole movie comprises of.Where exactly does gorgeous Penelope Cruz fit into the picture? You'll just have to watch the movie :)
Additional characters include a mermaid,a missionary and one of Capt.Jack Sparrow's old buddies.Judi Dench and the annoying monkey guest star in this film. The cinematography is excellent,as was in all POTC movies.A particular sword fighting scene with Capt.Sparrow and a 'certain someone' is well executed. Each actor has done his/her role well, with Johnny Depp being the main attraction here.Although I missed Orlando Bloom,it was a good decision to cut short the characters of Elizabeth & Will Turner,as the previous two plots had become a tad bit slow and boring. The new additions add a fresher dimension to the entire movie.
Final grade- A+,people again failed to address Jack Sparrow as Captain in this film.
FYI- I watched this movie on 3-D which is not at all necessary, please save the extra buck for catching 'Fast Five' on 3-D.
