The TV set is nice, but very hard to locate. I am from Delhi and had to search in 10 major stores to find one. One store had it in display, but that was the only TV set they had. Finally, I found this in Lajpat Nagar market.
Pros:
Good sound
Flicker free picture
supports 720p resolution
Cons:
heavy, not slim fit
single tone body, dirt sticks soon.
no woofer
I used this TV set for 6 months only. From day one, the TV set had some vertical picture scroll issue.
If you notice news channels in a flat TV set, check the news strip at the bottom. At the ends, you'll find the strip curves and the marquee news messages do not go in straight line. The reason is, all the flat tv sets are falt from outside, not from inside. This "problem" is found in all TV sets, but can be easily tracked in big screen tv sets. This is horizontal scroll.
Now, in my TV set, the same problem surfaced in vertical scroll. Visit from Philips engineers was common on evbery weekend for 3 months, but they were not able to fix it. According to Philips, this model is not a very popular model and was not available in stock. Then they promsed to return my money. It took some 100 calls and another 3 months to return the TV set and collect my amount.
