Many Philips fans reacted with the release of the Philips 530, because of its unusual design. The only flaw the phone had was a lack of an external camera, which of course was not included in the standard package. Philips realized the fact that the phone should have a camera installed right from the start and that's why THIS model appeared.

The Philips 535 doesn't have any differences from its big brother except for the built-in camera and this model hasn't embedded radio. The casing has remained unchanged, but with the camera lens and a little mirror located on the back. Typically for Philips there will be about six different panel colors available, some of them quite appealing.

The phone looks unusual, it's rectangular and reminds a little brick. Almost everyone who had seen this phone noticed unusual design. This model will stand out against other phones. Designers decided to run the risk by combining such materials as metallic, dim and semi-transparent plastic in one phone. Several colors will be available. In my opinion, darker colors will look most effectively.

This is one of the cheapest camera phones in the market today priced at Rs 7,990 it is packed with features

The 535 has got a 65k TFT screen which is the only one in its price range even NOkia's 3200 has got a 4K screen. The 535 has a built-in VGA-camera, which supports the 640х480, 320х240, 160х120 and 128х128 pixels resolutions. The last one is very handy when you?re sending an MMS, considering that the operators very often has a size-limit for each MMS sent, but of course the option to use bigger resolutions is ultimately your prerogative. All pic-files stored in the phone's memory (in JPEG format) are saved to the Picture Folder.

When taking pictures you can choose the colour of the picture - colourful or black & white. You can also choose the effects Sepia and Blue, and timer is available as well. A night-shot mode is also available. The phone has a 4x zoom function (digital of course). I can't actually say if the zoom function will be used a lot, since the pictures quality gets reduced significantly when using it, which you can se already on the phone's display

Two soft-keys are located on the left cover, they are used for Volume Control. IrDA port is located on the right. You can connect hands-free device to the bottom of handset, where special port is located together with charger port. This group of ports is covered by a rubber cup. The rubber cup is connected to handset's case, this means that you safe from accidently losing it.

Apart from other models non-standart interface port is used. That's why you can use this phone as GPRS modem only via IrDA. Perhaps there will be special cables, but in order to connect it you will have to remove back cover and set special nozzle (like in Alcatel phones and 6600)

The keyboard is made of plastic. Keys are middle-sized. I can't say that keyboard turns on any negative emotions in me, it's average type keyboard, nothing special, nothing bad. Speaker can be seen placed around navigational keypad. Something new indeed. It is used for playing ringtone and as loudspeaker when hands-free mode is enabled.

The interface is typical for Philips? phones- the main menu is a row of animated icons, you can navigate the menu with the joystick. To get one level up - There is no fast navigation with the help of number chains. But you can bind 8 shortcuts to different menu items to the buttons. For example - if you press 5 during standby mode you will start the Calculator. This handset has 1978 KBmemory, with about 450 Kb already used by java and files.

The last thing that I really love about this phone isBeDJthe music editor - BeDJ. Philips makes a great stake on this one while promoting the 535 . You can mix different tracks in existing melodies and choose various tones for them as well. It's a nice thing for entertainment, especially if you are interested in musical experiments.

I would suggest this phone for the camera crazy people with a small budget for 8000 bucks it is value for money
