More info about M.Sc BioTech in PES College. Review on PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore

Hello Mr. Balasubhramanya Joshi,

I just now registered to mouthshut.com and became member and was browsing when I came across your article.

I am basically looking for M.Sc BioTechnology Education in B'lore.

I wanted to know about the PES College in BioTechnology.

I also went to the web site: https://pes.edu most of the times it was down. And when it was up, it had very very less information. No info about the BioTechnology at all.

I know that the Engg College is good, but I wanted to know about the BioTech program in MSc. level.

I would be really obliged and thankful to you for the following information:

A) Details about the BioTech Labs

combined or separate for BioTech or BioChem, or how

are they shared?

what all kind of equipments are there?

Are electron microscopes there OR just simple

microscopes?

Generally good colleges have following labs:

Broadly there are 4 types of labs:

Genetics lab

Tissue Culture Lab

Biochemistry Lab

Microbiology Lab

Biotechnology Lab (Instruments Lab)

B) Is semester system kicked in? As Blore Univ have this year started semester system for the MSc BioTech programme

C) The Library (if any separately for BioTech)

D) The teaching staff,

how many are CSIR NET Qualified,

how much experience do they have?

how many teachers in total for BioTech are there,

how many are allocated for BioTech, BioChem,

MicroBio, etc

how many take MSc classes,

E) The hostel facility

Are the PG girls hostel separate or shared by UG

girls?

Are the hostel bunker system based? or decent

construction?

F) Total fee component as well as donation component.

I have heard that in other colleges they ask

donation at each and every stage. In labs the

equipments would be put up on show. When the

experiments are to e conducted, they would again

ask for money to procure for chemicals, and other

material in order to conduct the experiment, etc

G) Placements, if any

Assistance & Guidance in finding higher studies,

like PHd, CSIR JRF NET exams, etc

H) Statistics about the previous batch,

as to where they made the further future career move?

where they went, PHd, Job, US, etc

Please provide me these information’s.
