The worst mistake me and my wife made! We had planned a trip to thekkady and was looking forward to a great time, however, it all went south the moment we got to this so called "resort". The way to the resort is all broken up with no proper roads from the town, the location is right next to a colony and the views are very poor. We had booked our stay through cleartrip and when we got there, the front office staff informed us they had allocated us to room no. 215 and while we waited for the room, he came and said since the place is run on solar system, we will only get hot water between 6 and 10 in the morning, so, he is reallocating us to room 101 which has a heater. once we got to the room, the bell boy announced that we will only get hot water between 6 and 10.
We let it go and decided to settle for the room. However, the walls are too thin and the noise from the colony and everything from the front office could be heard clearly. We approached the staff and expressed our concern and requested us to be shifted back to the room we were promised. Instead of listening to our concerns, they literally asked us to get out. I told them I will be giving them a bad review, however, they responded saying they are least bothered about it. Their response was that we booked through cleartrip and we paid only INR 2875/- and this is the maximum we can get. The manager also misbehaved with my wife which makes me say the place is not safe for women! If you do read this review. Please stay away from this place. There are 1000s of better resorts and hotels in Thekkady.Do NOT make the same mistake we made.
