Its not about health. Review on Pepsi

I did read a few reviews, and felt none is good. I did not agree with the way this issue is being discussed. Some said about medical issue, some say about there love life and the drink.

First, health benefits.....

No benefits, the drink is a soft drink with carbonated fizz and sugar (if not diet version). Its has harmful chemicals like ethylene glycol and phosphoric acid, low pH could harm your teeth. For more information better see the review on effects of soft drinks.

Many people do prefer energy drinks like gatorade or other nutritional drinks over pepsi. I personally prefer juices. But sometimes I do crave for that punch in taste and the strong fizz, and when it happens I look around for cola.

I have tasted three cola drinks mainly (there are few others, like sports cola, sam's choice, bubba cola etc which I do not like and I am not counting them here). These three are

Thumbs up

Coca Cola

Pepsi Cola

My personal feeling is that Thumbs up is the best. I love this drink, and has a real punch. When I was a kid, this drink use to taste me like tobacco extract and I use to hate it, but now this is the cola of my preference, but this my favorite cola is only available in India (if available, its too expensive and rare to find). So now choice is limited between Coke and Pepsi. I never could choose one of them. I can tell you the differene in taste of the two by tasting blindfoldedly. Coke is strong in taste but a little low on fiz, while pepsi is high in fizz and low on flavour. So my choice is based on mood, if looking for strong fizz, I go for pepsi otherwise I go for coke. Most of the time I go for Coke. Pepsi in India is not my choice, there I prefer Coke. Pepsi in india, taste awful. I have felt a strange, a little tart after taste which I dont like. So in India I prefer Coke and here in US, I like coke most of the time and pepsi for a few times. But if you see the overall frequency of my cola intake, its very low, my one box of 12 cans is finished, usually in 2-3 months or more.

Overall, I like cola drinks and I feel it does not harm you to the extent where you start worrying, if your intake is in reasonable limits.

The order of choice is

Thumbsup

Coke

Pepsi
