Patanjali Amla Pickle is a seed-less, well marinated Amla(Indian Gooseberry) Pickle, and is manufactured and marketed by Patanjali Ayurved Limited. Costs Rs. 95/- for Net weight of 1 Kg. and worth it.Has a distinct favor of Punjabi styled Achaar with Sauf and Kalongi etc. Tastes better than Priya Amla Pickle.
Patanjali Amla Pickle is non-pungent, yet so tasty .It is sold in a circular shaped plastic fancy jar, and the lid is orangish in colour with a nice handle. It is FSSAI Certified. Each jar has a hologram stuck on, to prevent duplicity.
This jar of Patanjali Amla Pickle has plenty of cut pieces(wedges) of Amla in it(70%)all mixed well, with spices such as yellow mustard seeds, coriander, turmeric, red chillie, salt, fenugreek, hing.
Also with whole black kalongi seeds, very visable in this tasty pickle, soaked in plenty of mustard oil. Some of the mustard oil over flows and collects at the bottom of the pickle jar.
This prepared pickle is first filled into a large transparent pastic bag and closed with a rubber band. Then it is placed in this fancy, plastic jar. A silver coloured tamper proof seal is in place under the lid.
Patanjali Amla Pickle is always in stock in our home and goes well with Roti, Steamed rice, Chapatti and upma.We are consuming it since a few months and enjoy it daily.
The empty and cleaned fancy, rounded jar of Patanjali Amla pickle is transparent and of soft plastic which I think is ideal to store spices/ masala powders, toffee. One I have even made into a dumb box.
I buy Patanjali Amla Pickle from Star Bazaar and ZopNow.com and buy two to three jars when ever there is a special discount offer. Our foreign guests too enjoy it.
