Even though Ganguly (OUR GREAT CAPTAIN) is not playing in the final eleven we have won because of the Never Say Die spirit of our cricket team.
It will still be unfair to tag the pakistani team as a weak one as they can fight back. Their team is still young and comparatively less experienced than ours. I was a bit disappointed that Inzamam in his own characteristic fashion got himself run out without taking the fight back to the Indian team. I think this was probably the only way the Indian bowlers could have got this man out as he has struck a purple patch. It is amazing that a man of his size though he has trimmed down, has so much time to play fast medium seamers and swing bowlers.
Kumble will always trouble batsmen on these dry pitches but for me the real find was Irfan - Killer Inswing- pathan. For a budding 19 year old left arm swing bowler, he has shown unequatable aggression and maturity. He took 6 very very important wickets at crucial junctures of this historic test match. I was tongue tied when he bounced Abdur Razzaq in the Pakistani first innings to get him out so that the follow on could be enforced
It is true that the two standout performances were that of SEHWAG (309 runs) and KUMBLE ( 8 wickets) but Irfan's effort cannot be ignored either.
Thanks Guys, you have again made us proud by playing to your TRUE potential. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
