Low price OYOROOM.COM scam in Guntur, AP

I have booked a hotel room in Guntur, AP through Oyotooms.com. This is the first time I am using OYOROOMS.com, due to online penetration OF all services, I thought the process will be simple, gets best price and it is trustworthy to book hotel through oyorooms.com and easy to use. I booked one room with OYO spoton81802 Swarna Mayuri Grand, with Room price of 448(50% discount), received confirmation mails, WhatsApp messages etc. about confirmation and payment links for paying the amount and I paid too. Got confirmation of room message too. All went well till that time.


Action started when I reached the Swarna Mayuri Hotel(it is a lodge in front of Guntur Bus Stand). As soon as I reached, they started saying that what is the amount paid and it is low price and no rooms available, I was shocked and do not know what to do. Then called the reception number mentioned in the Oyo WhatsApp message. I got the conversation that(lot of conversation and mocking for booking the hotel room through OYO, why did you book, why did you pay, why didnt call the hotel before booking, all non-sense_) your money is lost and no room available, if you pay additional 300, then by his mercy room will be given otherwise get lost.


I paid the money as I do not have the option to look for other rooms at that time and called OYO customer care, they suggested to take receipt and submit online so that they will return. Immediately went to reception to give the receipt. They denied giving the receipt and told that they will give next day when I checkout.


Scene started next day again while checkout, asked the receptionist to give the receipt for additional money paid, but he denied saying that he can not give for Rs. 300 as it is less than 500, then I call Oyo customer care number, they kept me waiting for 20 mins as it is escalation and no escalation person took the call neither they called me back to address the issue.


The entire experience is very bad.


Then I checked out and booked another hotel through booking.com, but it went again booking another Oyo hotel room OYO 39595 Varsha Grand Residency, when I reached there, he also started saying that it is low price booking and room can not be given, but if I pay additional money, then they will confirm the room.


So, the modus operadi is like this with OYO and hotels in Guntur:


1. The lodge and hotel and OYOROOMS.com flash the hotel price as low price with good discount to attract the customer.


2. Booking happens and ask for payment.


3. As soon as we reach the hotel, they will play the game of low price and ask to pay additional money to give the room, otherwise no room, and they can say we can complain to anyone, they don't care.


4. As you have already booked the hotel and can not search for another room you will pay additional money and stay.


5. They also claim that we can complain to anyone and they do not care and I observed the same while I call the OYO customer care(no response for 20 mins for escalation call)


My suggestion is, call the hotel before booking about the price. The listing on OYOROOMS.com is only to attract customers, it is not the final price and it is a scam.
