I am going to share not feedback but a nightmare experience with OYO. I made a hotel booking with OYO for 28th March 2021, following are the details:

Since the booking, I was trying to call the hotel to inform them about my late check in but no one was responding, I tried again a lot of times on the morning of 28th March as well but there was no answer. I reached Nashik Road Railway Station from Mumbai around 5 PM, again I tried a lot of times to call the hotel as my Rickshaw Driver wanted to get an idea of the location. Finally, the call went through and the person on the other side was Vishal Naik (I got to know later that he is the owner of the resort) I told him about my booking and he gave the directions to the rickshaw driver. This resort was around 45 km away in Trimbakeshwar, completely secluded, there was no network on our phones. I reached the hotel along with my wife around 7:00 PM.
We entered the main gate and went a few steps inside towards the central garden area which was before the reception, there we saw 3-4 men, with strange reactions on their faces which showed they were not expecting us. One of them came towards me, I told him about my booking and they started looking at each other's faces, all this already started making me nervous as I was alone with my wife with no network in my phone and the auto-rickshaw driver had also left, so any chance of leaving that place was also gone. Then he asked me to show the booking details, which I did and again the exchanges of reactions started among them. He informed the other guy about AC Delux Room booking, he went to the reception counter, somehow managed to pick a key from the bunch of keys in a bowl and we started walking to the other side of the resort along with two of the men.
He opened a cottage, which was a big room with only a small CFL/led light bulb, filled with dust and malodorous smell, no phone, no mirror, and a dirty bathroom. (Please see the attached pictures). I was totally furious inside and I finally asked without revealing my disappointment about what is happening here. They revealed that they are not ready for booking for another 8-10 days and there is no other guest in the resort, I was the only one with my wife. I couldn't go anywhere now as it was already dark and no means of transport was available. And let me tell you, this was my Birthday night. OYO took money from me in advance to book this hellhole without confirming with the property whether they are ready for it, this was my birthday gift from OYO. And Hats off to the smart owner of the property Mr. Vishal Naik who had the audacity to help me with the direction. The owner was not there at that time, he came later with his family for Holika pooja. I asked him why he did not inform me on the phone about all this but he had no answer, then I asked him to do the check-in as there was no WiFi and my phone had no network. He said that by mistake he had left that particular phone at his home and he would come back in half an hour to do the formalities but he never came back.
We were awake the whole night as I was scared. I called my family from the hotel staff's mobile so that they would have an idea of my whereabouts. I even called the auto-rickshaw driver whose number I luckily took and asked him to pick me up in the morning. I was waiting for the Sun to come up, so I left the property around 6:30 AM. My wife became normal only when she stepped into the auto-rickshaw. I will lodge a complaint to the Consumer Court against OYO very soon. I will not leave OYO for this pathetic work as no one deserves to experience such a dangerous situation.
