The Big Red O Has It All. Review on Overstock

As always I look for places in the Internet to shop. And of course as always I stay in trouble with my husband, but since he loves me as he does, he looks the other way for the most part.

And as usual with the Christmas Holidays upon us I look for bargain places to shop at. I truly hate going to stores to shop because they are just to crowded for me. Now mind you when I consider the shipping and handling with some online stores, the trip to the actual store is cheaper.

But, I have found yet again another online store that I have fallen in love with. And so far, no problems with them at all.

The Online Store

I have shopped at https://overstock.com for sometime now and just love them! They offer so many wonderful things that a person can buy. And during the holidays they offer special shipping and handling, which is normally a flat 2.95 unless otherwise posted beside the item you are buying. For instance, books and media cost more to ship.

The homepage will always feature the current sale items and any holiday specials. On the left hand side of any page you will always find and index of the current categories and each of those offer links to various pages of interest. For instance, I was looking for the mattress toppers and I went to the Home and Garden section. Under that I was able to click on Bedding and Bath and from there I clicked on Bedding and then mattress. I was able to find the toppers with no problems at all. Of course after looking at all of the ones available I decided on the “Memory Foam 2 inch Topper” and ordered two of them. Our bed is a CraftMatic and has 2-twin size mattress so that is what I needed from the “Memory Foam”. With the holidays the s/h was only 1.00, which I really liked.

I was able to order with no problems and I am always able to check the status of my order and tracking. https://overstock.com sent me an email after the order and then another one when the order shipped. This I always like with any online store.

I also ordered a Wireless Mouse for my stepson and had it sent to his home in Arkansas. Now the thing that I loved most about this order was that I left off some of the address and https://overstock.com helped me out with it. We were able to contact UPS and have them fix the address. In the end someone at UPS didn’t do exactly what I was told they would do and I had to call them again, but I was able to do so with no problems. Mistakes do happen and they can be fixed. Just stay calm about it is all you need to do.

Across the top of any page you will also find links that will take you places of interest like: Home and Garden, Jewelry, Recreation, Electronics, Apparel, Worldstock, Help, Your Cart, Home and more. Most of these are found on the left hand side of the pages as well.

Other Stuff

Their search engine is wonderful! You can put in the name of the product you are looking for or the ISBN number or a model number. This makes it a lot easier for price checking of items from other websites.

You can and should go to the help section for any questions. Here you will find the answers to all your questions and in the event your questions is not there you can contact https://overstock.com and they will be glad to help you. The help section is really neat because as you click on the subject links more sub topic links will open up giving you several options. You can also choose “yes thank you for your help. I’m finished.” or “no, I would like help from Customer Service” depending on which it was. If you have a “no” response you will be. If you select the “No” you will be given three options to continue helping you. Free Internet Chat, Free Phone Support or Free Email Support. I know about this because when I messed up the address to my stepson this is where I went to and got the help I needed. I had to call them and the lady I spoke with was helpful to me and very nice as well.

Usually any orders that I make are to me within a week and this is good for me. UPS is the carrier of their choice but I do think the USPS also delivers for them.

The pages load quickly and are full of detailed information about the items for sale. You will also find on the right hand side of the item page suggestions for similar products that you may be looking for. You will also find towards the bottom of the center of the item page item suggestions that other buyers have bought. For instance, when I was looking for the mattress toppers I was able to see what other brands and styles other people had bought. This helped me to make up my mind on what I wanted.

At the very bottom of any page you will find useful links that will take you all over the site. You can even find links about the company and of course information about the Club O. For me, I am not at this time interested in their Club O. But, how it works is that for a yearly fee you join and then you get even more discounts on items. Currently you get huge savings on the items for sale but this Club O will help you save more. I am in the thinking process about this one.

I also like them because at check out I can choose to pay by several methods. Major Credit Card, Pay Pal, Bill Me Later

I also get points for shopping there at my https://mypoints.com account. These of course add up and help out during the holidays.

How I Feel

I have truly found https://overstock.com to be a wonderful Online Store. I have had no problems with any or my orders and I am always able to find my way around the site. There are so many things to look at that I just go and “window” shop for a while. I now check them for the better price and sometimes they don’t have the better one but at least I know I can look and if they do, I can order with comfort and ease.

You will need to set an account with them, which is free to do. You can check all your account information any time you want. Even changing my email address was simple.

And SIMPLE is what I like most about this store. It’s easy to do, easy to find items of interest, easy to order and easy to pay. Easy to check my information, easy to check tracking and easy to sign up for emails of all sales going on with them anytime.
