Let me take you through my Ooty trip.
I visited Ooty in January 2013. Really liked the place. It was quite chilling in Jan that we need to take woollens with us.
We hired a cab for Rs.5000 return trip and travelled from Bengaluru via Mysore to Ooty. It took around 7 hours to reach ooty with 1 hour lunch break at a very good south cuisine dhabha on Mysore road - KAAMATH. It was a an amazing 2 night trip. We visited all the major attractions in Ooty of which mine favourite was Tea garden full of greenry and fog. The view was really breathtaking. See the attached picture.
We booked the hotel online. It was a three star hotel Rs.1500 per day. Basic amenities were good like breakfast, hot water, cleanliness but wifi was not available there.
We didn't visit cunnnoor but yes you can easily go to cunnoor via train which runs from ooty to cunnoor, two times a day.
I guess January is really good time to visit Ooty as you can witness that amazing foggy view from the Ooty hill tops.
Thanks for reading the review. Do visit Ooty once.
