Yummiieessss!!! What mouth watering parathas... Wah!!!
My first experience with ONLY PARATHAS was truly great. I had went out with my friends to Linking Road, Bandra and we were puzzled as to what we have for dinner ... bored of Chinese, Moghlai, Burgers and the same stuff again and again ... then we came across this paratha house.
As about myself I am a restaurant hopper; like to eat out at different restaurants and try different cuisine as I believe that you should have an experience of all atleast once in your lifetime. I always wanted to try out this new place as it was in my list of wishes for next eating joint.
The restaurant is cool man! It has ample parking space and it looks elegant and quite stylish. The restaurant is very well lit up. The waiting place outside is quite spacious. Well understood that it is fully air-conditioned and quite peaceful and cosy to spend some time with your family and friends. The place is very tidy and well maintained. The décor and interior furnishings were elegant and appealing.
As soon as I reached there the guys outside immediately arranged for a table for us in the basement. Thanx! This was quick as it was a weekday when I visited it and was not crowded. If it was a weekend we would have had to linger outside the restaurant and wait till we had a table to grab the parathas. The service was of good-quality with well mannered attendants.
Now, coming to the main part, which is nothing but Parathas. The menu has a gamut of parathas which may put you into a fix as to what to order. You can order either single or double layered parathas. We had ordered only single layered ones since this was our trial visit to the place. We tried out capsicum, cheese and gobi parathas along with one thali. The parathas were accompanied by raita, dal and pickle – all superior in savor and pickle too tangy. You also have an option of customizing your own parathas by specifying them the various combinations of ingredients that you would like your paratha to be prepared with.
One thing to be careful to is that these parathas may turn out to be too heavy to digest. Good! We had ordered only single layered. One single layered paratha was more than enough for each of us. I have heard that it offers you non-veg parathas also; not much sure though so cannot comment on this.
As far as the cost factor goes I would rate this eating joint as expensive and will be a preferred choice for the upper middle-class society. But I guess even the middle class society should try it out at least once or visit it once in a while. One thing I noticed here was that they don’t accept Credit Cards – so please carry your cash along with you.
To all the new-bees I would recommend them to venture this place atleast once and if you find it pleasing and affordable you can definitely make it your regular hang-out. Just to add on to your information it offers you with home deliveries also.
Guys, as far as my knowledge goes MS-ites once had a get-together at ONLY PARATHAS – I am sure I am not mistaken to this. So all those who had been to it and even those who were not can definitely comment and opine on this.
Ultimately, I wind up this review by declaring that this place is worth a visit if you need a change from your traditional and regular home-made parathas and want to relish every little bite of these modern parathas. All in all it makes up a perfect meal. And I must say that the owners (I guess the Aroras) have come up a very novel concept of specializing with parathas – ONLY PARATHAS.
