Book attempted for a GOOD Reason
During those last 3 years, where I have read few of the romance fiction by Indian authors, they had many different flavors included with them. Baring chetan bhagat and Nikita Singh, hardly any other writers included the cause of social issues in their writing. As a writer, I feel its the need of time to let society know about its limitation and the degradation being spread, but may be with the fear that their hard work fiction may be rejected, debutant and new evolving writers choose romance that includes only the lust.
I had online ordered One life one Love by Rochak Bhatnagar in the month of march itself along with Someone Like you, Nikita Singh and Te Amo Rohit Sharma. But despite being thin book of 170 pages, I was not able to manage the time to read it, may be because of lack of interest. But during one of my recent journey, I made a thought of reading this book. The story of book was not expected to be so much different, Initials were few boring, but as I went on reading, I got good impact with the book. Its not that I liked it very much, but you can afford to read it in your free time.
Plot of the Fiction
The plot is common to most of fiction book we find these days. Rishi, an engineering student and Ananya are in Love with each other. During one of his college projects, Rishi has to co-work with Pragya, girl with whom he was in relationship with earlier. With the initial hurdles, fighting and disagreements, Their dedication work for that project to find success in most of the steps. But finding her boy friend close with his X is intolerable for Ananya and that brings problem with their relations. Rishi trying to make it up and convince his girl friend is how story goes ahead...
My view:-
I hadn't expect the story of the book to be so much different. The Initials pages were boring, the few other had unconnected plots or somewhere just trying to show the love between couples, but as I went on reading, I got good impact with the book. Its not that I liked it very much, but you can afford to read it in your free time.
The Story of book is common, love, misunderstanding, break up and trying to patch up. But presentation of booking is different than of other fiction I have read. He puts the little happening of 'best lines' of forthcoming chapters as introduction in each chapters. So it makes book a bit interesting and you are not able to understand the happening till you complete 80 percent of book.
Yeah, The other important thing I should not leave...
The book has included one of the major problem of society that is killing many of youth of these days. HIV Aids. The early relationship during college life, drink for the sake of close friends leading to drug addiction and even pre-marital sex are degradation of society. Thanks to Rochak Bhatnagar that he well mentions them in his book, "One life One Love." He has given his best to add awareness about HIV AIDS, but there are some mess hole which he doesn't cares about. Like kissing the HIV Patient and having sex with her in 'window period' can also cause you HIV AIDS and a person doesn't die just within the five years of HIV virus infection inside body unless he is having some other diseases also.
The end of relation in the Rishi-Ananya Relationship is also not digestible. So it makes look like writer didn't have better option for climax. Even the theme of book fails to justify why writer choose this title 'one life one love' for this Book. He could have thought for better title, and he could have made end a bit interesting. But keeping logic aside, the climax of fiction touches your heart and you won't regret for this book you read.
My conclusion
I reviewed this Book and I am recommending the book (for entertainment purpose) because I found any special things to read in this Book. I didn't. Nor I am trying to express any sympathy for Hard work Of Rochak Bhatnagar. I wrote the review because I liked the way he presented the book and I liked the cause he has included in this book. Hats off to his attempt. And for book lovers who like to read Romance Fiction, you can give it a try. The cost of book is less than half price of a movie ticket.
*My rating 3 out of 5
