Terrible Experience with Onroadz Car Rental - Avoid at All Costs!
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Onroadz Car Rental, and I strongly advise others to stay away from this company. We rented a vehicle (Innova - TN 06 H 0192) on 27th September for a trip, but it broke down mid-journey in Ooty. Despite multiple calls for assistance (we called over 40 times), no one from Onroadz provided any useful help or guidance. The lack of response was appalling!
We ended up spending a significant amount of money out of pocket:
Rs. 3, 000 for fuel (before the vehicle broke down)
Rs. 16, 000 for alternative vehicle arrangements
Rs. 4, 000 for two nights of accommodation since we were stranded without a car
Rs. 7, 500 for towing the vehicle as requested by Onroadz
In total, we spent over Rs. 30, 000 in additional expenses, on top of the Rs. 12, 000 rental fee. Despite submitting complaints and providing proof (videos, images, and bank details), we have received no reimbursement and no proper communication.
Every call we made to Onroadz resulted in vague responses, no one seemed to know the process, and there has been no formal acknowledgement of the issue.
It’s been five days since the incident, and we are still waiting for any resolution. This company’s lack of professionalism and poor customer service caused us undue stress and financial loss. If you are looking for reliable car rental services, stay away from On Roadz — they will leave you stranded and unassisted when you need them the most.
