I would like to write about the Olivers Curriculum. The day care is definitely a wonderful place for kids with care, fun and activities to develop the physical and motor skills of a child. My 4 year old son was part of Olivers Kondapur. He was in Nursery and Day Care.
As per the board of education, a child should know the basics of writing(TRACING and Identifying the letters) by the age of 4, unfortunately kids are not taught to write at Olivers. I enrolled my son at a different place and that's when I got to know that my son doesn't know to identify or write the letters, and he will have to be in Nursery again. Due to this there will be a lag of one year in his entire education. Yes, if we insist the schools would allow him to be n LKG, but that would be a stress to my child as his peers would be writing letters and he won't be able to. Hence, Nursery again.
I would request all the working parents to please check the curriculum and verify that with the global standards. My son has lost one year of education due to Olivers. When contacted the management, they as usual denied to accept the flaw in their standards and were a lot defensive. Providing a copy of the Nursery syllabus and Tracing, if anybody wants to have a look at. I browsed for this.
