I am new customer to Ola registered on 9th Feb. My mom need to go Apolo hospital, so I booked a first ride for her along with my Dad from Hyderabad Sanath Nagar to Apolo Hospital Jubli Hill's. First impression is good they came to my home in around 6 mins and charged Rs.167.
I booked second ride for mom again on Feb 15th morning from same place to Apolo Hospital they charged around Rs.186.
When I book a cab via Ola app from my smart phone they will call in about 4 to 5 mins. On same day 15th Feb I again book a return cab for mom from apollo hospital to my home Sanath Nagar. This time they charged my mom around Rs.479. She asked the driver why this much amount, each time we are paying around below 200. The driver said to mom check your phone message. As Phone is with me she said my daughter booked cab I am not able to verify now. She paid Rs. 479.
This morning I called Ola support and raised a support ticket#Ticket 800283 and called the support number. Spoke to a lady about the billing issue she said peak time charges. We notified via SMS about 2.6x charge. After confirmation & agree from you then only we charged peak time. No one called me, she said verify SMS. Usually each time they send SMS message when I book a cab for them. I never go through their SMS messages, why because I always get phone call immediately.
The driver didn't spoke about my mom about the peak time charge. I dint got any call. The support lady said check your message we notified via. Then verified I got SMS about 2.6. So, requested we are not aware this give some discount, nicely lady said sorry sir we cant help, well I cut the phone with support lady. So My Mom not aware the 2.6x charge as I booked cab my phone.This is totally cheating me. If my mom or me knows before we cant take the cab we can take auto or some other cab. By simply they send SMS that means I agreed and need to pay. At least the driver should inform us you are going to charge this much time.
