Here is what I experienced,
Had booked the cab with proper pickup and destination, and the cab guy picked us from the pickup location he was on time and even we boarded as he arrived we didn’t have any luggage and we were only 2 people in the cab guy took the OTP and started moving and he asked us to get down from the vehicle and he said he will not drop us, and on being asked why he is not dropping as he said he doesn’t want to make the ride and he was also very rude and his language was offensive, the driver didn’t have any courtesy or even on humanitarian grounds he should not have stopped the ride in between since I was with my family I mean there was my mom and it was around 9.30 pm.
I was helpless since I was with my family and somehow wanted to reach home safe so tried booking a cab again, the cab guys were accepting the ride and they would make me wait for 10-15 minutes for pickup, and even I m in an assumption that they would pick me up as I can see them approaching the pickup location via the OLA app but strangely they would cancel my ride after making me wait for a long time, seriously man testing ones patience level to the core.
This kept on repeating as post the incident I had booked 2 cabs and had to go through the same.
Since it was at night and was in mid of nowhere I was not getting any lifts as there were no autos around.
I wanted to raise a complaint with OLA and tried calling OLA customer care and must say they are worst as they don’t get connected I mean they don’t pick the call and made me wait for a longer time till it gets connected, and finally, I was able to talk to the representative and I didn’t get a satisfactory response from them too, and with all these, we were in the middle of the road for closely an hour.
Since it was at night and we were not getting any other lifts and I had to call my friends to drop me and mom at home safely.
It was such a horrible experience and I wish no one else go through this and if OLA doesn’t care about the safety of their customers, then I believe we should have a reality check and we shouldn’t use their service, as they are risking our safety, which I have understood with my last ride.
Must say they don’t have a process to monitor the pickup and drop, if there was a process then I wouldn’t have complained about this incident as this would have never happened, I mean if they had a process like once the ride is booked with proper pickup and proper drop the driver should never be allowed to cancel the ride in a midway, and in the first place, the drivers have an option to reject the ride if the pickup Or drop location is not feasible to them, if they follow this approach then at least the customer can look for other options, it makes it worse when they accept the ride and cancel in between.
I wanted people to know this and hope the message reaches the OLA team, this would improve their service and provide safety to the customers.
And I wish no one has to go through the same experience as I had today, trust me it was a horrible feeling, the worst part was it all happened at night, maybe if this would have happened at work hours I believe I would have got some ride and would have never posted this.
I am not Posting the vehicle Reg no or the driver's photo coz I don’t want him to get into trouble, and I hope he doesn’t do this to others.
