Please find below the series of incidents which actually led to stealing of my mobile by an ola cab driver:
28th September 2018:
1.Took the ride with OSN number: OSN1134885167, I left the mobile in the cab itself at 10:00AM. When I called on my mobile in the morning at about 10:30 AM, the cab driver Nagarjuna G A picked up and told that he will drop the mobile at my place. He gave me his personal number also: 8495984984 which I messaged to my brother at 10:34 AM through my friend's mobile( so that I will have a proof).
2.I tried calling my number / Driver's personal mobile number 8495984984/ owner Mrs Khursheed's number 8861024402( which was shared by OLA). But all the mobiles were switched off, whole day and whole night.
29th September 2018:
1.We called OLA customer care number: 9538043753, they asked the owner to receive our call, else we might take legal action. But again nobody picked up. We had to call agin and agin OLA customer care and they finally pressurised the owner. She picked our call and asked us to come to a point called as RK Palace in KAnasultanka Nagar, Bangalore.
2.When we went there, the owner started defending the driver stating that driver is too honest and would never do such a thing. Even the driver Nagarjuna refused having seen or taken the mobile I was talking about.
3.We explained the complete scenario to Mrs. Khursheed and she finally understood that the driver was telling lies. She assured us that she would come to police station also if required.
4.Still the driver kept on saying that he has not seen the mobile. On repeated interrogation, he changed his statement and said that he saw the mobile and had talked to me. But since he later went for servicing of the cab in Adugodi, some mechanic would have taken the mobile.
5.We got ready to go to Police station and then finally he'agreed to have stolen the mobile' and went inside the garage opp to R K Palace and took out the mobile. By then, he had broken both my SIMs
6.The owner slapped him and started checking all his belongings. They finally came across a diary in which he had written details of the other things he had stolen from other places and had sold. HE IS A HABITUAL OFFENDER.
7.We took the copies of ID proofs of the cab driver and I blocked both my SIMs.
OLA: Kindly do the complete antecedent verification of the driver before hiring the cab drivers. Request you to bar him
