I happen to book OLA CABS few days back from the OLA mobile app for the pune airport at 5:45 pm, as I had a flight to delhi at 8:10 pm. I booked an OLA micro, and even after 10 minutes no one showed up at the pickup location.
I tried contacting the driver, whose number happen to be out of reach. After futile attempts for next 10 more minutes I cancelled the ride and a MESSAGE POPS up on the screen that I would be fined an additional 25 rupees as the cancellation fee for my next ride WHICH WAS FOR NO REASON.
I even tried tracking the cab on the app which showed no signs of movement and that left me no option other than to cancel the ride and book a new one for which of course I had to pay 25 rupee more as a cancellation fee.
I again tried booking another ride and in all this I already lost my 25 minutes. I had to hurriedly book another cab which reached finally after few minutes but THE CONDITION INSIDE THE CAB was just horrible with dirt on the seats and empty packet of chips lying on the back seat.
I had no option but to sit and accept my fate. The driver seemed to be not familiar with the roads and he had no idea about the route. I requested him to take the route with less traffic BUT he was ADAMANT on taking the longer route and eventually WE ENDED UP GETTING STUCK IN TRAFFIC JAM, where it took us more than an hour to get out of it.
Moreover to this I was asked TO PAY THE TOLL TAX which falls on the way to the airport, but I had read on the OLA WEBSITE that all the tax / tolls are included in the final bill only.
That is nothing but an OPEN LOOT and I had no option but to pay rather than arguing with that fellow because I was already late for the flight.
Finally we reached airport at 7:20 and the boarding gates had closed just a few minutes ago due to which I had to miss my flight and book another one which costed me more than 7 k .
The driver' s behavior was far more rude than normal, even when I paid him the money, he carried no change which was another headache to arrange for the change .
Overall IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE TRAVELLING WITH OLA which costed me more than 7 k just because of careless drivers and irresponsible customer care executives.
I tried to bring this case into light by contacting the customer care and complaining about the driver, illegitimate toll collection and rude behavior but I didnt get any satisfactory reply as such.
After this harrowing experience of mine I would suggest others to be aware of such careless cab service who have no respect for the customers even after being one of the major operators in the market.
