Sorry, i've written it again under a different name coz I wanted evryone to read this review on OASIS....it sure will help all of those concerned...


OASIS Cellular is definitely the worst cellular in the world. It is a perfect example for explaining the disadvantages due to monopoly!!!


I have a lot to say against them...i'll come in chronological order...


I live in BITS, Pilani and since there's no other cellular service (i wish there was) I took an OASIS pre-paid card.




  1. My first allegation - they charge Rs. 6/min for a local landline call, but say it's only 3/min (i've witnessed this abt 5 times)




  2. Once, there was Rs. 192 left in my account. Then, I used up Rs.66 to download 11 ringtones (Rs. 6 each). But the next day, my balance was ZERO!!!! (they charged me Rs.126 for no reason)






I just couldn't believe what they were saying. Immediately, I called them up. One of their ''Customer Care Officer'' (who according to them, was busy serving other customers till then) comes online after about 10 min. I patiently explained to her the whole problem, she too patiently listened, and said she'll look into the matter and told me to call the next day. The next day, somebody else lifts it up and again I explained the same thing. This time, she flatly says that there couldn't be any such problem coz it's computerized. When I insist, she asks me to call the next day becoz it's a holiday that day. Somebody else took up the phone this time and again says that i've used up the whole money and offers an explanation that one of my friends might have used it up without my knowledge!!!


This was enough for me.....and I started speaking a little more rudely!!! but they just don't listen. This happened for about 1 week...i call up and explain and then somebody rudely says that there's no way!!!


I was just helpless coz they said I won't even be said whom i've called to!!! (to check)


That was haunting me day and night because somehow I wanted them to realise that there might have been some problem.....but that day never came and I forgot about it.




  1. The problem now is this:




Around March 28th, they made incoming free.....and reduced the talktime on a Rs.300 card from Rs.156 to Rs.120 (it was already reduced from Rs.205 to Rs.156 sometime back because cell-to-cell was made free then)


But it says on the pack that talk time is Rs.156 ( I dunno why they haven't changed that when they can print incoming free* on the pack)


Ok...now that isn't the main problem....


On April 2nd, they've sent an SMS saying incoming is no longer free coz TRAI has changed it to May 1st....it seemed reasonable.....


but then what happened to the Rs. 36 (156-120) that they've charged for providing free incoming???


I called up the customer care and asked them if they would include that amount in the talk time.....coz anyway they aren't providing free incoming and so we must be given the Rs.36 back....


but they said that since i've been getting free incoming for 5 days, I would've spent Rs.36 on that in case the incoming wasn't free....


now that logic was something new to me and I could do nothing but to hang up coz I know that they would do nothing...


Now see my problem, I have to minimize my expenses on a cell phone since i'm just a student now. But if they just charge me Rs. 126 extra without even giving me an explanation, what can I do????


Someone said BSNL is coming soon to Pilani.....and so I guess OASIS is trying to exploit everyone to the maximum before BSNL comes because i'm sure not a single person will buy OASIS if BSNL comes....


Added to these are the no network problem and SMS sending problem which are given free to every customer.....coz they care customers soooo much!!!


Please note : This review looks so offensive, but that isn't because i'm still angry!!! anyways, OASIS deserves every single bit of it.....


and i've known so many other users who're using them
