Its been 2 years since I brought this masterpiece(paid a bomb rs 23000/- then, was gifted by my wife with my money) and since then this has been an extension of me. The phone has been with me through thick and thin and have wonderful experience with it. Initially used it with great caution but now I use it quite roughly from the features point of view. Got the first setback when the phone used to hang quite often whenever the camera was activated, got the software upgarede to the new version since then no issues. Second setback after 6 months the joystick broke, since it was under warranty got it replaced but had to wait for 15 days fot ehphone to be delivered since the spare was not available. Now to some features of the phone.
a) The camera is 3.2 M pixels and is absloutely fantastic be it in clarity, flash, night snaps, various options. I have taken most of my son's photos at birth, birthdays, any celebrations at home with the phone and everytime admired the snaps. The photos are easily downloadable with Nokia suite software or direcly thru blue tooth. The camera comes with a protective cover and is really useful in keeping the lens clean. The camera has only digital zoom no optical zoom. The video recording is amazing, dvd like quality(till date 112 videos recoded after my son's birth).
b) The Music player is another plus point of the phone with 2 speakers outside giving enough sound to fill in a room. The headsets are great and the music quality is simply superb. I have listened to variety of songs from rock, hip-hop, bollywood songs to classical and it leaves you mesmerized. In fact my phone is my stress buster.
c) The utlities are good such as calculator, calender, notes, recorder, converter and can read PDf & open ppt files too.
d) The messaging options are good.
e) The phone is loaded with blutooth, infrared, voicemail, speed dial features, conference calls.
f) The most important feature of the phone is the security option. The phone can be unlocked with a password/Lock code only known to the owner which helps it from being accessed by others. Even if the phone is switched off to replace the SIM(when lost) until and unless the password is known the phone does not get enabled.
g) The battery life is good, I have talked for more than 3 hrs continously after one charge and the battery also holds for min 3 days without charge. I had to replace the battery recently coz I overcharged it by keeping the phone for charging overnight. Pls take of that.
Overall I have been using the phone without any major hiccup. The phone is also very sturdy and rugged even after more than 6-8 falls from shirt pocket. One thing to take care is protect the joystick when putting in the jeans pockets. An awesome phone to use and I would recommend to people who are avid photgraphers and movie/music buffs.
