First of all u would need to read this review only for the useful merits of the phone cause for its complete and useless features visit Nokia.com.
This would have to be one of the smallest phones which are of the non-flip type. In “Size does matter” world, ur girlfriend would not mind u having this small babe. Don’t know if it would win her over, unless u gift her one. Although small, its buttons are surprising easy to use, except for the Volume button which I can’t get over its minute size (the buttons are almost of the same height of the body of the phone – so u gotta use ur nails). Those buttons are important only for one main reason, it being the volume button for the Radio (do have to crank up the volume when they PLAY ur favourite song). Same goes with the On/Off switch. Did find the same problem with the Menu button but over a period of use I’ve got used to it. Also this might be the only phone which looks great with a protective plastic cover on. (I do take care of my phone).
The body is made of some translucent material which is required for those bright lights to be that bright. Although material ain’t good cause from a close distance it looks like the phone’s dirty. My phone came with the black on steel grey body. The steel grey body is painted on (Cost cutting measures ???), so the steel grey colour chips off. Luv’d my Eric for their non scatch and non chip material used. Don’t know why Nokia has compromised on this aspect. Maybe they want more people to buy their Express-on covers as soon they’ve bought the phone.
Don’t use WAP or GPRS so useless for me. Luv the white back light and the bright illuminated keypad which helps me find the keyhole of my car in the night. Can be used as a light torch( its that bright). Radio’s great and clear.
Voice commands to change the profile (especially to silent mode in a meeting) is a useful feature. With this one can set a silent mode by a voice command. ( I do look like an idiot saying “Silent” to my phone,.... I’m not sayin that I’m not). This feature can be timed too in-case u forget to put the ringer on afterwards. Voice recording is a good feature (Oral proof does have some weight in Court).
The phone has amazing memory. I have over 90 messages and don’t know how much more it can hold. Luv the fact that for storage of telephone numbers and details, one can switch between sim card memory to phone memory (so incase u change ur sim card, the details remain with the phone). Besides that the phone has that infra-red facility for cordless comm. (so u can transfer details from another infra-red phone to urs – can sms the details too). Also the name folder can have upto 5 numbers under a single name (great feature cause in other phones for each number u would need to add another name). Separate rings for upto 5 groups. (so ur girl can have a own ring - now u can hear her rather than see her name on ur phone).
Don’t like the fact that inspite of being a lithium battery it last for only 2 days. And why does Nokia charge so much for its accessories ( Unlike Samsung which gives the handfree set, extra battery, car holder all free ) with Nokia u get only Phone and Charger.
Don’t know how to remove a radio channel once u’ve saved it. Secondly the Inbox takes too long to open and once u’ve done with it and want to go back into Inbox, that too takes a long time (why does say “opening” both ways – when opening an SMS and closing one too ). Besides this phone does not have a automatic Keypad Lock (have to manually do it) unlike the Nokia 3315, this is an essential feature missing and I don't know why this supposedly high end model does not have. Lovely ringtones, although EXTREMELY VERY SOFT in-spite of the highest volume (Thankgod for the vibrator function– Doesn’t make u look good though when something’s moving in ur pant pocket )
All in all it’s a great phone and I’ve been using it since the last 4 months and have no regrets buying it. Ofcourse it does not have a Camera in it but what the hell buy a separate digi-cam and buy this phone, it comes cheaper that way.

Did have a problem. All the phone numbers stored on the memory got corrupted. Took it to the Nokia dealer and they got it fixed for Rs.600/- together with a software upgrade. Works great now but i've lost 200+ numbers which were there on the phone. So do take backup by using the IR facility on the phone or save the numbers on your sim card.
