Nokia 7650: I believe that the king was made a long time back,when even few other princes we in their mom's womb..I strongly feel, this is one phone, which was made to breakthrough all barriers of mobile communication and digital personal data management. I am listing some things here, what usually other phones will not have and what a Nokia 7650 has. I am not going to give the usual, this phone has so much talk time and this has a color display and stuff.
- Symbian OS: This phone has a Symbian OS. This is one of the most advanced and hot operating system in the mobile community these days. And it has so many websites and so many developers, that you will not find enough space even in your computer hard disk, once you start downloading stuff. Other phones which have this Symbian OS are the Nokia 3650, 6600, Communicator, Sony Ericsson P800/900, Siemens X1.
2.Proximity Sensor: This is one of the features which I got amazed with. This phone has a proximity sensor, which when you switch on the loud speaker and take the phone near to your ears, will sense it and bring the phone to usual mode, so that the loud volume does not damage your ears. Other phones which I know of having this is only the Ericsson T520s.
3.Loud Speaker: This has become something common these days. But this phone features one loud speaker, so that you can listen to the ringtones you download, and also use it as a speaker phone.
Light Sensor: Another unique feature to this phone is this light sensor. The power consumption in this phone is rather very high, which is why this light sensor, comes to the rescue. When there is enough light to read through the screen, the back light switches off faster, or rather gets dim, saving battery power.
Big Display: This phone features rather a very large display. It has a 128x128 wallpaper size, and more space on the top and bottom of the wall paper also.
3.6 MB Shared Memory: I am mentioning the shared memory so specifically just because of the advantage of using the shared memory. When you have a shared memory, you can store, so many contacts, addresses, photos, ringtones, etc, until all your 3.6 MB is full. Nothing is restricted by the numbers, but just by the total memory size.
Clear 640x480 picture: The best photograph which can be taken in a Nokia is only through a 7650. It has an excellent camera of 640x480 resolution and also a small photo size, which can help you store pictures for the contact list.
8.5 way joystick:Playing games on your 7650. Now it becomes a gameboard for you with its 5 direction joystick, even the menu navigation is so easy that you would never feel so easy with any other phone.
Photo phonebook: Forgot the face of the person who is calling, just use the photophone book to store the photo of the person, so that when they call, the photo of the person is flashed, and you will remember the person even by face.
Activity Log: This gives you details of how many incoming call, outgoing calls, incoming sms, outgoing sms, and your data transfer. If you are an advanced user of this phone, you will exploit this feature.
Voice Recorder:This phone features a voice recorder. Its not just for giving your voice commands, but also can be used to record events, and voice conversations for later use.
Option to Play MP3: Just download MP3Go and you are ready to play MP3 in your phone, as a ringtone, or just to enjoy.
Push to Talk: This is supposed to be the latest buzz word in the mobile industry. But luckily, this phone already features this.You have to just download the software from your service provider, and voila, you have Push to talk enabled in your Nokia 7650.
Games:Loads and loads of games are available. This phone already comes with 2 games, the usual snake and the MixPix, which is a jumbled picture.You can download all the Java games, which are available for the other phones, and also some special games for the Symbian OS. Actually speaking, these special games are rather more in count than that of the Java games itself.
Video Recorder: This phone has a very good video recorder. One advantage of this video recorder, over that of other phones, is that the video and audio are recorded together, rather than recording it, opening two separate application, like in a Nokia 7650.
You may now feel that these features are much more than available in all the new phones, but just guess when this phone was released..we always keep guessing..
