Hi people !
I thought I had a great deal in my hands. My phone usage is primarily STD & the cell seemed to be a godsend when I needed to make a buying decision. In the past 2 months that ive used it I have always felt happy with it.
Specs:
32MB MMC card
6MB Phone memory
Nokia OS series 40 (Please note this is not Symbian more like windows 95 whereas symbian would be windows XP) Default apps on set will play AMR,MP3,3GP. Will not play WAV,RA,OGG formats.
VGA Camera (ie 0.3 MegaPixel as compared to Nokia 6600 which offers 1.2 MP cam)
3 min Voice/Video Recording
Good sound clarity
FM - Reception is OK but not excellent.
Battery life about 3 hours.
Extendible antenna - practically useless. Though signal reception is OK.

If you are not much into mobile application installation & arent a cell geek.............. its V Good.
If you intend to play with the Symbian OS , install games, applications etc............. Go go for other GSM phones dude.
But just yesterday it died on me for no apparent reason. But let me tell u the history 1st: I bought this set about 2 months ago from reliance webworld in calcutta.It did shutoff at least 3-5 times in the interim, but I thought nothing of it cause it was usually when I was taking a photo etc. But just last night it started shutting off every time I booted it up & has become unusable. I have taken care of the set not dropped it but yes I did upgrade the MMC card to a 512 MB one last week. & this worked perfectly fine.
Believe me, I cant think of one thing that could make me responsible for the dead cellphone. I feel indignant as to how this could happen. I had done a lot of research before buying this set.
Tomorrow I will be giving it to the nokia service centre. & I dont know what a harrowing time im going to have now. But I will keep you updated. & I am ready for a fight with Nokia & Reliance. Irrespective I have lost the connection that I paid for with my family in Delhi & will go through a bad & expensive time.
