Nokia 1100, simple and straight, mobile phone leader Nokia's one of the best model. Costing around 5000Rs, it serves more than a mobile with its flashlight reducing work for your fingers to search for the keyhole in the dark.

The easy-to-use approach of Nokia, which was used in Nokia 3310 has been adopted here too. The dialing of numbers, answering or cancelling the incoming call and almost every other thing that you know in 3310 has been replicated here. Precisely, we can say 1100 is inherited from 3310, differences being the dimensions, weight and most importantly the battery.

After trying 3210, 3310 and the flop model 3315, I am finally satisfied with 1100 for the very reasons above. The size of the mobile is almost half of 3310 and the weight, unbelievable. The weight of the mobile is less than the battery's weight and the whole system including the battery is again, almost half of 3310.

The reason for trying all the above models and finally settling with 1100 is ultimately because of the battery. Though size and weight of the mobile does matter, it is wiser to opt a mobile which has a good battery backup. The one in Nokia 1100, once charged fully, can last upto a week if used sparingly and atleast 4-5 days if the talking time is around 3 hours, which I think, can't be found in any other model, rather brand.

Like the usual saying ''Nothing in this world is perfect'', 1100 also has something that Nokia should try to change. I don't tell it's a defect or problem, but an enhancement. The usual fluorescent display is very much annoying and it can be changed to aquatic blue or something attractive.

One more thing, which I am yet to test is throwing my mobile onto the floor like how I did with 3310. Even after slipping out of my hands many a times, 3310 was working fine without a single problem, but Iam not sure whether 1100 would sustain it or not. Anybody who's ready, please test it and post the results.

One thing I would like to say ultimately is, it is hightime for 3310 users to change to 1100 and for the new buyers, please don't look back.
