Niva Bupa does not know how to issue a policy

Policy Issue Date: 27th July 2024


1. I had taken Family Floater Policy in which weight of my 3 months old daughter is mentioned as 18 Kg. Uploaded the screenshot of the same for reference. I'm not sure if this is one of their tactics to reject any of my future claims stating that the information provided my me is incorrect. Totally irresponsible and casual behavior.


2. In Niva Bupa, a tele-medical call will be arranged before issuing the policy. I didn't get that call and the policy was issued.


3. I had disclosed all the medical history of my family. But they didn't mention that in the policy. I'm not sure if this is another one of their tactics to reject any of my future claims stating that the pre-existing diseases were not disclosed at the time of issuing the policy.


4. When I asked them to add my wife's pre-existing disease, they added and permanently excluded it stating that I had not disclosed that while the policy was being issued. That was not true at all. I had informed every pre-existing disease of all family members well in advance. Then they removed it from permanent exclusion.


5. Then I asked them to add my daughter's hospitalization details. Till now they have not added. Even after 3 weeks, they need more time.


6. When I asked them to cancel the policy, they asked me to wait till the end of the day so that they can try one last time. Any person would like to cancel the policy and that is what I did.


7. They asked me to prove that I had disclosed my medical history before the policy was issued. I took the sales person on call who helped(mis-guided) me in purchasing the policy and he testified it.


8. After that, I asked them to have all the conversations only over the email and they never did that.


9. I suggested them to either join a circus company or set up a pani-puri stall as they are unfit to run a serious business like insurance.


This ment that they:


1. Entered incorrect details.


2. Didn't give proper solution to my concerns.


3. Kept delaying.


4. Don't have proper and pro-active communication.
