Sitting back and watching the sun rise over the mountains while watching the Colorado River flowing by
is a great way to start your morning. We always stay at Harrahs and it's described as a resort not
just a casino. There's an adult tower where the elevator comes right out on the casino floor and right around the corner from the check in desk. The other two towers are for families and adults that don't get reservations in time for the adult tower. There are two pools, one for kids and one for the rest of us over 16. The adult pool has an open bar and hot tub. There's always clean towels and you can even go to the beach by the river. It has a bar too and umbrellas and lounge chairs.
The rooms are always clean and the most we've ever paid for a room is $29.00 plus tax. All of the dealings we've had with the restaurants and service people have been very pleasant. We try to get back at least once a year. When you get there get a players card and the comps start mounting up. Charge everything to your room, (meals, gifts, drinks at the pool) and you'll receive all kinds of offers almost before you get back home. I want to go right now! There are big name shows and other casinos just down the street. Harrah's takes care of the kids too. There's a huge arcade with good security and a McDonalds and Baskin Robbins right outside the arcade door. There's also lots of parking for RV's. They think of everything. We've been to Laughlin all times of the year. Bullhead City Arizona is a five minute drive accross the river. They have a Walmart supercenter if you need supplies. Also, you're a couple of hours drive to Vegas and if you like sight seeing the Hoover Dam is close. There's an abandoned mining town to trek around in with the usual local vendors.
