Polo mints produced by Nestle are a very well known brand and probably something that everybody has eaten from time to time if only when being offered one by a friend or work colleague. You can get several different varieties of Polo but I more often buy the Original flavor which is peppermint.
Packaging & ingredients:
They are packaged nice and tightly in some silver foil and then wrapped over the top of this is a sharp looking green and blue paper covering. In terms of the ingredients, they contain: Sugar, Glucose Syrup, Modified Starch, Stearic Acid, and Mint Oils.
Calories in it:
They are suitable for vegetarians, and per 100g, Polo's contain 402 calories. Some basic maths would suggest then, that each 30g pack roughly works out at 130 cals. In a typical pack of Polo's, there are roughly twenty mints, each featuring the word'POLO' embossed onto them.
Pocket Friend:
These are ideal to have conveniently in your pocket if you suddenly suffer from having a dry throat or a bad cough and would be perfect to refresh your breath after eating. On the safe side, I don't go mad with my Polo eating, although I do enjoy the taste, and the mildness of the mint is what I most like about them. I suppose that's what other people like about them too.As well as the mild mintyness, the aroma is quite refreshing. Awesome little mint.
