Forced solitude can lead to great discoveries, experiences

and realisations on the home front, friends – this I have come to realise over

the past few months, isolated as I am from my home and house due to the

vagaries of my occupation, which leaves me gallivanting all over the

countryside from one place to the other while my family has to stay put in one

place for the sake of education of my beloved son.{Wheeeeew! Talk about a long

sentence! Now that is a true longie…. Methinks it is grammatically accurate,

too}

Translation: Hum akela hoon, biwi door hai aivam naye naye

prayog kar raha hun kitchen athvaa ghar ki vaadiyon mein!

You are liable to run slam-bang into a multitude of problems

thanks to this forced solitude, right from the first moment you wake till the

moment you lay down to what you sincerely hope to be a nice relaxing sleep.

{Another longie!} And from there begins a saga of domestication that exposes

you to many opportunities to gain experiences that you can shamelessly pen down

on MouthShut…

And so it is that we, at long last, after much

procrastination, dilly-dallying, playing ring-a-ring-a-rosy and dancing around

the mulberry bush- arrive at the topic of what purports to be a fantabulous

review on Nestle Everyday Milk Powder{Did it again, guys: and with long words,

too}. The operative word is “purports”, guys’n’gals, as I have no way of

knowing whether this review is any good or not!

The more observant amongst you must have noted this rather

drastic change in my writing style, and must have shrewdly surmised that I

don’t have much data to share on the chosen product category for this

discourse.

Well, you are right if you guessed the above! For once this

purveyor of psychedelic nonsense{no, the word doesn’t fit here} has run out of

words…

Problem is, I am the one to have requested it on mouthpad,

so am stuck with penning my so-called thoughts on this topic! And so, mes amis,

read on for what has been my experience with this rather lovely product

THE FIRST STEPS IN MY EXPERIMENTATION

I arrived at my new place understandably filled with

trepidation, as it had been some 7 years since my last experience with such

solitude…

So we begin the journey{at long, long last}

The first thing you require on waking{well, almost} is a

nice cuppa tea and / or coffee, for which you are bound to require Tea /

Coffee, Sugar and….

Yup. You got it! Milk!

It is here you run into a choice between Milk and Milk

Powder. Seeing as half a litre of milk is liable to give birth to something

like 5 – 6 cups of tea{which means 3 days taking 2 cups a day}, and very

obviously having a dislike for stale milk, I chose Milk Powder

Initially I started with a competing brand, which would

require{pay attention here folks, I am coming to the gist of my review} me to

spend oodles of time in making a homogenous mixture with water. I would put the

milk powder in hot water and stir, trying to dissolve it – to no avail. Try as

I might, some nuggets would remain in the cup. So strong would be their resolve

to remain undissolved that no amount of stirring would convince them to mix

with the hot water. These last nuggets of powder would endure saam daam dand

bhed and remain independent!

Me, I had adjusted to this daily rigorous exercise with

spoon, cup and milk powder with an unfailing regularity every 7 a.m., which would be the harbinger of the day

to follow -  which was not necessarily a

bad thing, as on the plus side, it gave me a damn good workout enabling this

competitor to state with complete assurance that their milk powder is decidedly

healthier than Nestle, allowing as it does the development of the musculature –

male and female alike – of its faithful consumers, giving them a ruddy strong

left / right arm, depending upon their dexterity.{Did it again! Another

longie, filled with h-u-g-e words!}

THE DISCOVERY

Translation of the above-stated balderdash: bhaiyya, woh

powder paani mein poori tarah ghultaa hi nahi thaa!

And then my kiraanaawaalaa ran out of stock of the competing

powder… And I discovered Nestle Everyday!

To cut a potentially long story short, you just add hot

water and stir a little: voila! You get a smooth paste – no hassles, no

struggles, nothing! That is its USP!

End of the English Language practice session!

{Yaar, what do I do when MS says minimum 150 words – when I

have only around 100 to pen? Kuchh to raastaa nikaalnaa padegaa! Lo, pesh hai

seedha surila raastaa}
