Navjivan Hyundai is extremely notorious for exorbitant billing, fake charges, poor vehicle service, horrible customer support and hell-bent to loot and fleece customer. The horrible saga started on 20th September when I sent my i20 for general servicing and to check brake noise. The service advisor took a complete day to check the vehicle and confirmed to me the next day that the vehicle needed general service and complete brake drum/liner replacement and would cost me a total of 18000 rupees for the complete repair to which I consented. He confirmed explicitly that there were no problems other than the brake noise. The vehicle was delivered on 25th September. I made a mistake of paying them 18500 rs. on trust without checking the vehicle as it was delivered directly at my home during my office hours.
Next day, when I checked the vehicle, I could find a strange screeching noise while applying clutch and a continuous noise from the back part(dicky). On my complaint and continuous arguments, they sent their engineer on 2nd October and confirmed that our complaint was correct. The vehicle was picked up on 4th October and subsequently delivered to my home on 6th October with a promise that all the issues were resolved. To my shock, I checked the vehicle the next day and could find the same issues along with new issues of continuous noise from the front side of the vehicle and music system not working.
I dropped the vehicle again at the service center and met the Service Manager, Chief Engineer and the Service Advisor, and they all agreed to the issues pointed out and assured me of their resolution at no extra cost. On 8th October, the service advisor informed that the lower arm assembly needed to be replaced which would cost me an additional 3000 rs. I asked them to make me talk to the service manager before confirming this, however they moved ahead and changed the lower arm assembly. They delivered the vehicle on 9th October with noise issue resolved, however music system still not working. They have advised me to get the music system repaired from an external agency as it would cost another 5000 rs. in case if they repair it at their premises.
In a nutshell, 20 days of to and from with hundreds of hours wasted in arguments, I am cheated of 22000 Rupees and a non-functional music system which I need to get repaired from an external agency. I have complained it to the Hyundai corporate office as well as planning to initiate action in the Police Station under section 406(criminal breach of trust) and 420(cheating) against the dealer and Hyundai. I am also filing a case in Surat Consumer Court to recover my money back along with compensation for mental harassment and unfair trade practices.
Stay away from unscrupulous dealer- Navjivan Hyundai and horrible company - Hyundai
