When it comes to defuzzing options, one is certainly spoiled for choice.
Permanent hair removal (electrolysis, lasers) intimidates me.
But having tried and tested all the temporary methods, I can surely 'wax' eloquent on this ''hairy'' issue.
Shaving grows a stubble and waxing is too much trouble.
I’ve known the agony of an epilator, so I’ll stick to a depilator!
There is a vast array of depilatory creams and gels on the supermarket shelves.
Caveat emptor (let the buyer beware) !
I found the Nair hair removal cream very quick and convenient.
But most MSians have said otherwise.
What does one look for in a hair removal cream ?
1) It should be HYPOALLERGENIC.
The rash ,itching and burning of an allergic reaction is best avoided by prior test application.
It appears that I am among the fortunate few MSians whose thick hide withstood the patch test and subsequent use of Nair cream.
2) It should be EFFECTIVE.
This one works,all right.
3) It should ideally be ODOUR FREE.
Years ago, when I first tried out a depilatory,it was the stink that not only made me throw up, but also throw out the bottle. It was with great trepidation that I tried out Nair cream. I was prepared for a stinker, but was surprised and most pleasantly so.
The malodour is there alright, but very faint.
Don’t you believe the “rose scent” mentioned on the label !
If it is there at all, it gets nullified by the stink !
4) It should be QUICK.
Nair hair cream requires four minutes of waiting following application.
Be sure to use a timer.
The Nair cream scores on nearly all counts, except the smell.
If you can tolerate the mildly obnoxious smell and are not endowed with an atopic (allergy prone) skin, then this is the cream for you.
But remember to follow the instructions carefully.
Always do a test application 24 hours prior to use.
Stick to the stipulated time.
And refrain from using over the sensitive areas.
