Good but expensive. Review on Nainital

There was 2 days leave and holiday. So I decided to take a detour to Nainital.  I booked city heart travels' bus from Ibibo.com at Rs.360/-. The bus took off from Kashmiri gate at 10.00 PM but stopped for 1 hour at Anand Vihar citing other passengers boarding there.

Its scheduled arrival at Nainital was 7.30 but arrived at 9.00 a.m. (Book this only if you have a shoestring budget).

I stayed at Clarks Inn, Tallital, Nainital.  They charged Rs.1500/- (extra bed included) per day.  The room was good and the staff was courteous and helpful.  (Not bad at that price).

I took a Nainital darshan for Rs.1000/- half day and Rs.2000/- for full day for sat tal.  The taxi driver was samir khan (Mob.7417055787). (You can haggle with these prices and may be you can get a good deal than this)

The climate is pleasant. The Sattal is very scenic and beautiful.  Buy wax articles. Avoid Burf ki Kiddi at Sat Tal and other lakes.  They are persistent hard sellers but you must not fall for it. Also buy Bal Mithai and Chocolate which are Nainital's specialties.

However, I missed out at Zoo and ropeway. They are open only from 1100 to 1600 hrs. So plan your trip if you do not want to miss out. Worth a visit, this place if you have plenty of money.

Also Himalay Darshan is a lottery, because the Himalaya peaks are always covered with fogs and clouds.
