These days voting matter is getting into absurd manner and wonder if contestants are asking for VOTE KIJIYE Rather than we are asking Nach Baliye
Despite of poor performances RAJEE-DELNAAZ are getting constantly survived just on the basis of public vote elsewhere they are falling way short of others in terms of judges' scores.
In newspapers I read that SACHIN-SUPRIYA couple is constantly ignored by producers in terms of promos and hoardings.
VARUN-RAJESHWARI couple is under voted for no right reasons and latest casualty is shilpa-Apoorva.
I wonder currently this show is after proving phrase ''TALENT IS NOTHING WITHOUT OPPORTUNITY.!
Because this voting (or lobbying?) will lead to this.
BIO (choreo) graphy of the show :
It catched imagination through its attractive promos and now no doubt that Show rocks in many ways.
First thing first:
THE CONCEPT
Its Indian television celebrity couples(real life) dance competition show.
Most important thing is I m yet to hear that this concept is copied or stolen from any foreign television show.
It is reality show but unlike other shows, this concept is different.
Show comprise good combination of skill and human elements (of joy and grief) and most importantly as an entertainment show it gives you full value of entertainment.
COUPLES :
It started with 10 Couples and as we all know, one couple will get eliminated in each different episode and we will get one crowned couple.
JUDGES
1.Malika Arora :
She plays role of calling spade a spade. Being herself dance performer in live performance and film/albums, she gets into technical aspects very well.
And she criticizes in respectful manner (unlike SAREGAMA and INDIAN IDOL 2 jokers except sonu).If at all she is very disappointed with performance, she express it's through scores rather than verbal medium.
2.Farhan Akhtar
I don't know much about his dance background, but he too carries himself well as a judge. Very well remembers past performances and compares them with latest and accordingly compliments or suggest for improvement. But his comments have been always intelligent.
3.Saroj Khan
She needs no introduction, simply LEGEND.
Its rather one of the USP to have this person as a judge...it's as good as having JAGJIT SINGH for gazal competition. She always judge performance on basis of how it has been choreographed rather than how it has been presented.
And that's evident because whenever she has found performance below par, she has always criticized choreographer rather than couple because as being choreographer, she very well knows who drive the performance.
But towards couple, she is always bit favoured.Thats evident whenever one couple gets 5 and 6 from first two judges; she covers it up for them with 7 or 8.
Verdict: Everyone maintains their own differential angle of judging it and it's evident through their comments and score they give.
And they don't give different scores for sake of it; many times they have given 9 each or 30/30.
Anchors :
1.Shabbir:
He was unknown quantity for me before I had watched him on this very show. So with not having much of experience in past, producer took gamble and I think it has paid off. He has good personality and sort of underplaying anchoring he does unlike SAJID KHAN or AMAN VARMA.
2.Sangeeta:
She is very well known in Indian television community. She is given job of speaking out loudly (Opposite to shabbir).
Verdict: There is not much of the space for them script or time plot wise so neither they stand out nor they do below par.
Stand outs :
- Human Elements: Joy and grief
I think when one couple gets eliminated; the whole environment really gets touchy. Those actors' don't remain actors neither judges remain critics any more.
Rather than joy of getting to next round, all couple feels for couple which is not going to perform any more and also spare of thoughts for their choreographer because he loose stage for showcasing his talent. And as all of them are trying to establish in industry so it's hard for them too to leave this place.
This part of the show has always been up to it when it comes to reality show and its involvement in people's heart.
- Skills of the celebrity couples.
It takes an athlete to dance, but an artist to be a dancer
Being this the concept of the show, this was VERY ESSENTIAL part.
We all knew about sachin, Rajeshwari for their dancing talents but dancing talents of Varun Badola, Shilpa agnihotri, parmeet really stunned public.
So rather than just being celebrity, people watch show for dance skills rather than because they are celebrity, and I think their lies success of the show.
Promos, Title song, Set design are very good and all these adds to show value.
Confusion :
Over voting methodology. I wonder how it's worked out.
On Friday, performances are aired and voting lines are opened till next day midnight.
But result is out on Thursday itself! Should not they declare it on Saturday?
Today (17th), Shilpa-Apoorva are out, and voting lines are opened till 18th! Wonder what the difference they are going to make!
So it's all weird to me.

Shocking exit of APOORVA-SHILPA.
A way to look at it
- Judge made look stupid
When creditable judge separated those two couples with 9 points, could not swallow the verdict.
- It also speaks for dark side of viewers being voters.
Today anchor revealed that VARUN-RAJESHWARI couple also gets lesser no of votes than they deserve.
And public favoring towards DELNAZ-RAJEEV also looks suspicious. Judges are constantly putting them on verge of exit where twice in row they are getting survived. Whether this couple is lobbying the public opinion?
- It speaks for show credibility.
On consistency basis, latest couple took exit was far better than DELZAAZ-RAJEEV.
Today's results raise questions for whether this sort of shocking results will lead to let fall standards of performances for just sake of getting higher no of votes.
Because as we got to know today, if VARUN-RAJESHWARI again don't get credits, then next time the might take exit and still DELNAAZ-RAJEEV might survive.Nach Baliye!
- And ultimately its injustice to talent and couple that deserved to move ahead.
Verdict: R-D should walk off on their own rather than crying for couple who are getting exit. It's like batsman who was out but crying for bowler who didn't get umpire's decision in his favor.
Idea of walking out may look dramatic and foolish but then exit of A-S was rather more dramatic and foolish.
So R-D better your get act together.
Last word:
Its good entertainer but they have to strictly avoid this shocking exits any further otherwise crown glory will turn into clown glory.
