The Title
The title of the movie, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, means you don’t know neither do I. The title is self, sounds good as if the movie has a lot to offer since the trailers were good but was the movie?
The Main Characters
As you may have guessed this is again a love triangle story, with the characters Saif Ali Khan, Hrithik Roshen and Esha Deol. Now we look at the cast and think that it will be a fabulous film since Hrithik was the star of the millennium for Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Esha worked extremely well in her debut film, ‘Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche,’ which I really enjoyed. Saif has worked in many hit films like, ‘Dil Chahta Hai,’ but the film was a real disappointment.
Saif Ali Khan as Akshay
Hrithik Roshen as Rahul
Esha Deol as Esha
The Story
To be honest I didn’t think there was a story behind the film but nevertheless I will discuss it…
The film begins will Esha Deol’s baby videotapes. We see her grow up from a baby to an older innocent girl. She has a pen pal whom she writes to often but she doesn’t want to reveal her name and asks him not to either. They write to each other about their likes and dislikes and parts of their lives and end up falling in love. It sounds stupid but that’s how it happens in the film. It is similar to Boney Kapoor’s ‘Sirf Tum,’ which was extremely better and it has been adapted from Hollywood’s, ‘You’ve Got Mail.’
So we find out Rahul, the person whom writes to Esha has a friend called Akshay who is into girls. At this point it not only is the film rude but annoying as it is unsuitable for children. Women are shown with lack amounts of clothes around Akshay.
Moving on, Rahul works with Esha but is unaware that she is the girl he loves. Suddenly, Esha is engaged to Akshay. Weird or what? More rude scenes follow. At this point the story was dragging on and on and going nowhere so I decided I could not watch the end, as Esha was not fully covered either.
The Music
The music was not bad, but some songs were forced in with a scene. That became irritating as the mood kept changing!
I saw the song, 'Pyar Ki...' and thought that it had a thick plot but I was wrong.
The director did not know how to make a movie!
My Reaction
To be honest, most films these days are rude and it depends what kind of person you are. Infact, I was uncomfortable watching the film, as I was watching it with my family. I found it absolutely boring and I definitely would give it a miss!
