I am writing this review to let everyone know of a very bad experience I recently had with Myntra. I have been an avid shopper on Myntra for more than 7 years now and I have always got very good service from Myntra until recently when the following incident happened.
I ordered a "Set Of 6 White Solid Loona Opal Dinner Plates" on 31st August 2021 and I received the package on 5th September 2021. The package was sealed and labelled properly but when I opened the package I found that there were 5 plates instead of 6.
I counted the plates multiple times to be sure and there were just 5 plates, not 6. Immediately, I raised a complaint(#IN21090610420081513038) through their website against the item and they replied back with some questions. The questions were around what the condition of the package was when it was delivered, who received the item when it was delivered etc.
I was travelling on that day when they sent the reply, so the next day I saw the reply and surprisingly I noticed that they had closed the issue with a status "Resolved", they hadn't even waited for 24 hours for me to get back to them with the answers. Anyways, I again opened another complaint(#IN21090722093569798177), and this time I mentioned that I had raised a complaint earlier and I answered all the questions they had asked me in the reply to the last message.
The next day they replied that they were looking into the issue and they would get back to me within 3 days. Five days passed and I didn't get any reply from them, so I again sent a message to them asking for an update.
Then within less than 1 hour, they replied that they have carried through an investigation and found that the correct item was dispatched from their warehouse and their delivery partners confirmed that the same item was delivered to the customer. So, the claim stands declined and they cannot do anything, also they closed the issue with a "Resolved" status.
I was shocked at this resolution as I knew that 5 plates were delivered, not 6. I immediately called Myntra's customer care and explained the issue and the customer care executive did not say anything useful other than just repeating the same line that as the claim got rejected, nothing can be done now. I also requested a call back from the customer care executive's supervisor and I asked him to show me what kind of investigation they have done. He said they cannot show me anything and nothing can be done about this.
I am utterly frustrated and disappointed at this incident. I have 6 family members, so I ordered a set of 6 plates which cost Rs. 1229/-, but I got 5 plates. So at the end of the day, I am the one who is the sufferer. Myntra trust their delivery partners, but not their customers.
How can they just wash their hands off the issue saying that they have investigated, they cannot even show me anything to prove what kind of investigation they have done. If they have sent 6 plates, how come I got 5 plates, or are they indirectly suggesting that I have received 6 plates but lying for just 1 plate.
I hold an Elite status on Myntra because of how much shopping I do and this is the kind of customer service I am getting.
I am seriously considering now not buying anything from Myntra in the future. I really feel cheated. I am really worried that the same thing can happen again with me or anyone and if they say the claim got declined, we as customers cannot do anything even though we received a package with missing items. Horrible experience from Myntra.
