Airtel is a very popular network . As Airtel started their business in many years ago, they always improve their network . I have been using Airtel network from last 6 years . In these 6 years I experienced well for few times, other than always experienced bad& worst . I will tell you both experiences -
Good Experiences:-
1) Their network is very good . You can find their network anywhere in West Bengal( As I don't have experienced out side of West Bengal, but I think you can get their network in pan India) . Even in village where no other network provide either no signal or very poor signal, Airtel network is available there .
2) Speed of internet is very fast& good .
Bad Experiences:-
1) First of all their cost of package for talk time, sms, internet, call rate cutter are not available at reasonable price .
2) Their android application My Airtel is just average quality .
Size of app is not big . It is good feature .
It take some time to load properly .
Function& features are not too good . Sometimes I faced some issue . Which is not till resolved .
When I want to check last recharge history of my airtel number, it always show unable to show .
One time during payment on a order of Shopclues ecommerce site, I had chosen Airtel money payment . After choosing this payment option, I can't log in my airtel account . Even when I can directly open my airtel account . But, payment time I couldn't log in . I don't know the reason .
This app doesn't offer me to online chat with their customer executive . Airtel should provide this option in the app .
This app is not too easy to use . Many time I can't find a option easily .
This app don't show balance deduction history . Developer should add this option in the app .
I can say design of the My Airtel app is not good .
So, this application is not useful . Need much improvement .
3) At first when I bought my guest airtel sim, I had recharge my number with 333/- . After few days airtel stated auto balance deduction without a reason . Daily they deducted my balance either 45/- or 40/- or 30/- etc . Everyday I had to contact their CSA to refund my balance . They wasted my valuable time .
4) Very recently I had decided that I should port my Airtel number . So, I sent a port request message on 26th Jan 2017 . They sent me a Unique Porting Code& also sent another message -
" Dear Customer, Airtel values your association. In order to serve you better, our executive will call you shortly to know more about the reason you want to port out of Airtel no XXXXXXXXXX ."
Next day one of their executive call me& asked for why I want to port my number . I said their call rate is high . Then they requested me to don't port out my sim, they will give me a offer with less call rate without any recharge for few months& new call rate cutter will be active within 24 hours . So, I had accepted their offer . They canceled my port request . After more than 24 hours I checked offer till not activated, I call their customer care, they said it will take up to 72 hours . After 72 hours till offer not activated . Again I call them& launched a complaint Ref.no. CMBNR302039964 . They said for wait more 72 hours to resolve it . Then I got a message
" Update on Ref.no. CMBNR302039964: Benefit has been credited to your Airtel mobile account. For account related details, dial*121#. "
Alas! This is false message . Offer till not activated . Again I launched a complaint& said for more 72 hours& then again I got same false message . After that, same cycle done for more a time . That time I was fedup .
I sent them a mail with all about this . Next days I one of their representative call me& asked me to provide them written copy of offer . But I didn't have any written proof of offer . Their representative call me in phone& offer me in call not in message or mail . So, I can't proof it . Although I provide him from which number I got the offer call . Then he said I can't get the offer . He replied as -
" Dear Customer,
This is in reference to your email regarding MNP benefits related issue for your airtel mobile number XXXXXXXXXX .
Basis our discussion, I would like to inform you that post validation of your records we have not found that any such offer that is being offered to you. Hence, I regret the in-feasibility to provide you the same.
Further, please be informed that there is one offer of Rs.8 which is applicable on your number, under which you will get the benefits of All Local mobile 1.2p/2s for 28 days. To get, dial1211#
For further queries, please write back to us. "
My only one question why they cancelled my port request& make false offering . I don't expect it from Airtel . Firstly they deducted my balance without a reason& now they provide false offer . I don't recommend it to anyone .
