We know that inbuilt players bundled with Android phones aren't capable of playing all formats of videos. Look no beyond MX Player. It is a feature rich video player and is available for free. I will discuss what I liked -
Formats: It can play all types of formats of videos like avi, mp4, 3gp, mkv, quicktime and all others presently available in the market.
Increase brightness: You can zoom in/out and increase brightness right from the app. No more to fiidle around.
Subtitle: Yes, it supports subtitles of .srt format which is very useful if you are watching any foreign language films.
Screenshot: You can even take snap of a particular frame.
Edit sync time: Just like VLC in PC, you can delay/forward frames as per your wish.
VLC player is also available for Android but it isn't very rich in features and currently most of them are in beta. Download MX Player and have a peace of mind.
It doesn't consume much RAM also. Overall, it's useful for day to day usage.
