A place worth visiting as it holds an immense amount of history within herself. it was my Kolkata trip last year when I included Murshidabad on my vacation list, truly an amazing experience. what magnificent buildings and the history that it is laden with. One of the prominent district's of West Bengal, this place is well connected by Rail, Road, and Air though it is not directly connected through Air, as the nearest airport is Netaji International airport in Kolkata which is almost 200 km away. however, it is directly connected by road and you can get a bus from nearly all the neighboring places in Kolkata, if you are planning to go by train then the nearest station would be Belhampore court also well connected from Howrah station. The best would be if you rent a car for the whole trip. the best time to be there is from Oct to Mar, as climate is a major factor in West Bengal.Since this is a history rich place so the list of must go places is a long one, however, the main attraction being Hazarduari which means 1000 doors however only 900 doors are real to confuse any intruder a must visit place, along with that imam-bara, and there are few mosque and the Wasif Manziland and the district museum are few significant mentions in the list also if you like to go shopping then Murshidabad is famous for it's Ivory and wooden handicraft and also market for silk sarees. You will get a good number of hotels and they are not that expensive, however before booking it, you check it yourself once. overall a wonderful and very informative place to visit.
