Ladies and gentlemen, hold your breath; get rid of all the logic that you possess, leave your brain at home and then enter the theater to watch the third part in the franchise called MURDER subject to there is no other movie that can be seen. Trust me even after you have done the above exercise before entering the theater, you are going to walk out with a confused look on your face, wondering what on the earth was this film all about?
Bhatt brothers who have mastered the art of producing low budget films, most of them are adapted from some Hollywood film have faltered big time with their latest offering even though this too is adapted from ‘The Hidden Face’.
If we look back at the films made in his earlier days by Mahesh Bhatt, then we would realize that his films had very strong characters, and all the three characters in Murder 3 are very weak. The writers Amit Masurkar and Mahesh Bhatt have created confused characters because the way they are portrayed on screen they make a mock of a character. Randeep Hooda’s character is the most confused because the viewer fails to understand whether he loves his wife or is he a man who will fall for every woman? How can a woman be so suspicious that she would prefer to teach the man a lesson just because she suspects? Mind you this is the same woman who has quit her job to come with him to India for a year. There is a cop who is investigating the case of Aditi and he also happens to be the ex-lover of Sara, his character make every cop look like either a fool or a confused person.
The film is about a wildlife photographer (Randeep hooda) who comes to India with his girlfriend (Aditi) on a one year’s assignment. His girlfriend goes missing leaving a video behind saying not to look for her. Same night another girl (Sara) falls for him and soon moves with him to his house. He is worried about Aditi and yet sleeps with Sara. WOW! What a character.
Some strange things happens in the house especially in the bathroom, which does create interest in the viewer and about fifteen minutes of the film in the second half does succeed to keep your interest alive but as it heads towards a hurried finale with an abrupt ending forces you to think, “what the hell was this?” This is not the only question that haunts you because there are many subsequent questions that follow the first question. Each question in search of an answer.
With this film Mukesh Bhatt’s son Vishesh Bhatt has made his debut as a director and he joins the gang of those directors who lacks understanding of the script or have not learnt the importance of the script. He should be given benefit of doubt considering this being his first film and expecting quick learning from his mistakes.
Photography is very good. Music is loud to very loud with ordinary https://lyrics. Dialogues are poor to average and at times you feel that few of them were written to create interest to lift the level of the film. Especially those that were spoken during the interrogation scenes, which is a mockery of a film making that is usually seen in B grade films.
Randeep Hooda though is a good actor and we do not need any proof for that but he is strictly okay in this film. Aditi wears a weird make up that spoils her beauty and she does a fine job though she needs to work on her dialogue delivery. Sara Loren should go for a crash course in acting as she is not at all an actress material.
I have few questions to the writers, but would like to ask just two of them:
For how many days can a person live without food and water? It is very important for me to know the answer because one of their characters lived without food and water for many days and still had the strength.
What can suspicious nature lead to? After seeing what it did to all the four characters in their film, I think we have the right to ask this question.
I know my review is not going to please many but I can’t help it, the film is so bad that I had to struggle to write a review on it. My request – STAY AWAY FROM IT.
