I got an MBlaze connection from MTS around three months back. I had heard a great deal about the speed, connectivity and tariff. With the belief that it will do a great deal better than Reliance or Tata, I chose to buy MTS. The day I got the connection I felt elated at all that I could expect. Wondering what I was promised; I'll list them all out for you:




  1. Superfast internet which could go upto speeds of 3.1Mbps.




  2. One time rechargs of Rs.999 gets you unlimited download and upload.




  3. Reebok shoe worth a few thousands free if you take the connection.




  4. Reduced sign up price of Rs. 899 instead of Rs.1799.




  5. And the rest of the regular promises of great service, best support, great instrument and all that.




  6. Doesn't end there, first month free internet service without having to make any recharges.






Should one be really happy about all this? Of course, who promises all this to you. I signed up for the connection after providing them all my documents. They informed me that the connection would be active within the next 24 hours and they would call me to confirm activation. Wonderful customer service, I thought. I went home and waited eagerly for the sales rep to call me and confirm the activation. I had almost waited for 20 hours and the call never came. I figured that the rep was busy and could not call, so I just went ahead and connected the device to my system. The software installation complerted but the connection never went through. I redid the whole process a second time, again to no avail. I left the device alone thinking tat it might take a wee bit longer for it to get ready.


I had gone out for the while and returned only after 10:00PM which was almost 30 hours after the promised time. Again performed the whole process at least 6 to 7 times, but was not able to connect even once. I resolved to call the rep back the next day. I called them with the first hour of work the next day and this is what the rep said.He first gets all the details he needs from and he says, ' I'm sorry sir but your documents have been misplaced. If you want your connection to be activated then come back to the shop and give those documents all over again." Though this really ticked me off, I wanted to have another go at it. So I went back to the shop and provided all my docs again. I again got the same promise. This time, though, I got a little stiff and warned him of consequences if there was any repeat issue. He said there would not be any issue and it would go through smoothly.


What happens the next day? The whole part from device in the computer to no connectivity happens, all over again. So that makes it three days in a row. I called the outlet and asked for the problem. The man who had addressed me the previous day tells me that he does not know what happened and if I wanted any details I should Customer Support and not him. I told him that the device was not yet activated so he again asked me to call the cust sup. I called them and they said that there were no records of my connection. I calld the rep back and he says that he does not even know who took my documents and I should ask that guy. I went back to the shop to see that the rep was just leaving the door. I caught him there and created a big scene in the outlet. This got my issue resolved within 1 minute and the activation was complete.


Then comes perrformance. The issue above was in the outlet but what will follow is the device itself.


The speed normally does not exceed 114 Kbps and sometimes just does not connect. The connection keeps dropping and you keep loosing all the work you are doing. A normal page like https://google.com takes more than a minute and a half to populate. The ad which says upto 3.1 Mbps is just a big fat stinking lie. It just means that if you have an option of connecting through an American high speed connection then the internet speed is upto 3.1 Mbps not the MBlaze connection.


None of the things that MTS claims is true. Every ad and every word is a false representation of the company and the norms. This company should be thrown out of India for being the lowest class of liars that could be found on the face of the earth.


Please never buy any thing from MTS. Keep away from them and their services.
