Works like a charm. Goes on day long and still shows no signs of dying battery. Gorilla glass actually is tough. Is Scratch proof and so rules out the necessity if a scratchguard. Horween leather shows no wrinkling even on rough daily use.
I would recommend the grey version for buyers as the black one is just painted on the silver dial and thus may lose color on rough use exposing the steel finish. Dial size is large enough for use while driving too and for navigation. And small enough to not look awkwardly huge.(Speaking as a person with small wrist). At 18 k it is definitely pretty expensive. But as long as I get to change music, receive calls without looking at the phone, and see maps while driving. I'd say even at this price I find it kinda worth it.
So first things first. My expectations for this watch were totally different as I was already used to using a smart watch as my daily driver for 1.5 years with my note 1 and later nexus 5.
RAM 512 MB,
Internal 4 GB memory
Bluetooth support yes: v4.0 provided
Display 1.6 inches approx
Android compatibility 4.3 onwards.
Monitors heart rate also
Asks for update as soon as its connected to the handset.
Battery life is not less than 1 and a half day with is convincing with normal use
elegant face and design keeping the look of historical wrist watch and mixing it with smartness of technology
Better than that provided by other competitors in the market with similar products. and efficiently priced to boost sales
Screen is scratch prone so do buy an appropriate screen guard and timely replace the same for the new feel.
The watch was gifted to me so the actual cost price is not know although if you go by the site this product sells at 13999/- for leather strap and 1000/- more for the stainless steel
nice product comfortable on hand. easy to use. well designed. good value for money. good market repo of the manufacturer.
it has 2 micro phones for easy conversation and is water resistant with IP67 certification.
weigh around 55 grams and not bulky. vibrates on notification. wireless charging. Suitable for tech savy and midsized hand.
Prized at almost a mobile value with functions and features comparatively less but worth giving a try.
I was used to having all my notifications on my wrist, ability to silence phone calls, check twitter, reddit, Facebook, remotely take pictures, control music from non-native apps, have fun watch faces and excellent battery life due to the e-ink display.
Like everyone else I picked the Moto 360 for its aesthetic appeal to get into the android wear platform. And I haven't looked back since.
Out of the box, the watch fulfills most of the above mentioned needs, add to that the beautiful construcion, gorgeous round(ish) screen and the greater integration of apps since its googles own os and I can look beyond the shortcomings.
Compared to the Pebble:
Pros:
-Much Better Design and Construction
-Colour Display with High PPI and it's round
-More sensors(Heart-rate, pedometer, accelerometer etc)
-Better looking watch faces
-Qi wireless charging
Cons:
-Battery Life(Even after updates its 1.5-2 days but I'm used to 7-9 days on Pebble)
-Pebble has a richer eco-system but I'm sure Android Wear will catch up
-Compatible only with Android(Pebble connects with iOS and even Blackberry)
-Strap not easy to replace(Changing watch strap of Pebble was much easier)
-Ability to read in direct sunlight(e-ink display of Pebble is much easier to read outdoors)
That being said, I've overcome the battery issue since I have two wireless chargers, one at work and the cradle at home, so battery is not an issue at all but still worth pointing out.
All in all I think it was a great upgrade but the OS still needs refining which will come with time.
