Motorola C261- Great value for money...
------------------------------------------------------
Am writing a review after almost about a year or so… Laziness got hold of me… Now… Back cause of my close friends… diver and sweets_desire…
VALUE FOR MONEY… Would best describe this phone… I bought this phone for Rs 3990, with warranty, and with a free USB cable… A phone with no features, you would think. I didn’t expect anything more for the price too.
Why I bought it??? Basically, I needed a phone for rough use. My phones easily get damaged when I ride my bike in the rains, and in Kerala, its raining- almost every other day. So, a basic low cost phone should do. I went to look for a basic colour set. Found all the usual stuff from Nokia. And simple threw a glance at what Motorola had to offer.
Guess what??? They had a camera phone at this price... CAMERA PHONE FOR 4k??? Ok… Must be some dumb little camera, I thought. But turns out, the camera is as good as any other VGA camera Motorola has on offer in the medium segment. Can be compared to the likes of the more expensive L6 and L7… Am in love… From me, 10/ 10 for the camera, considering the price factor also.
The catch??? Well!!! Memory is rather poor… Can store about 25-30 high resolution pics. Am not complaining, since they have do cost cutting na??? And no MP3 player.... 4k, na??? Its obviously wont be fully loaded... But... no IR too...
The phone comes with a very good colour screen. No phone in this price range has a better screen on offer. The polyphonic sound quality is also rather good. But volume is nothing to write home about. Have to give 9/10 for the screen quality. And 7/10 for speaker and ring tones.
It also comes with a free USB data cable which is easy to use and install, and does a pretty good job without messing up. One other feature liked about the phone is that it allows 5 simultaneous alarms to be set, which was one feature I wish my older Nokia had… I never wake up at the first alarm. Then it has all the usual stuff like games, stopwatch, GPRS and the likes
I had no complaints about the voice clarity and the speaker phone. All works fine and is loud enough. No complaints on that front. 8/10 for phone clarity, I guess.
Value for money… 10/10… My friend who bought one Motoslvr L6 liked my phone even more. I am absolutely delighted I got it for rs. 3990.
Overall. I guess I can safely give 8-9/ 10 for this phone… Only thing am worried about is Motorola’s reliability. I haven’t used a Moto before. Will update on that front after further usage… : )
