MOM: Dial M For Daughter
It's time for Sridevi to launch her daughter Janvi.
Cinema is a visual medium and youthful hero and heroine are looked forward to.
Issue-based movies can be watched often when the film is engaging. Here the topic has been dealt with so often that one cringes it being repeated on-screen. This is happening so often in real time in streets. Real world hasn't found solution and justice is delayed more often denied. The system itself stands assaulted.
Aged hero heroines r strictly one time go and should be restricted. Audience want to be entertained.
In today's times taking law in one's own hands makes sense. No court or judge can realize the sense of loss or privacy a victim faces for life. But can this solution work for all women.
As a movie, Sridevi may have exhibited her acting chops but it's time for her to hang her acting boots. Neither the subject nor the protagonist r visually appealing.
But Sajal Ali(daughter) is an eye candy. Shades of kareena Kapoor. Cho chweet.
If movies can find a solution to this endemic then any movie is welcome. Sadly this one too joins the long list of ANDHA KANOON or KAABIL or.
Looking forward to Janvi or Sara Ali Khan or whoever who can light up the screen and makes it? worthy. This one is waste of time, money and energy despite the due credit to the acting abilities of the aged protagonist.
BTW, with the SPIDER-MAN HOMECOMING releasing today, MOM may've a limited appeal.
No lip service here. Please make movies for audiences to watch and not to forget.
