I recently purchased a Tata Nexon, the XZ+ variant from MK motors, Kottayam(In fact from their Thiruvalla outlet where I reside). I decided to go for this vehicle after much deliberation and thought, especially that this segment(Compact SUV or Cross overs) is one of the best thriving car segments in India. The options are very many, including XUV 300, Honda WR-V, Ford Eco-Sport, Kia Sonet, Vitara Brezza, and a few others. Almost all these cars are very good with few ups and downs, so naturally, the selection and the final decision was a little tough. I knew there is a hype around Tata Nexon, especially among the young generation based on "desi" feelings. I cared little about that. I didn't want to prove my patriotism based on the commercial goods I buy. But then, how did I end up buying Tata Nexon? After much deliberation and a little bit of internet research, I came to the conclusion that the new facelift-Tata Nexon really lives up to its image. Everyone knows about the security features, but I was impressed by the thought Tata designers and engineers put into this vehicle. If you want to have all these features in the rival cars, definitely you would be paying much more. Even with that, many of these rival cars compromise with either rear passenger comfort or boot space or ground clearance.
Having said this decision to go for Tata Nexon didn't come easy. I was from the very beginning impressed by the Sales Executive, Mr. Anish Thomas. Not even once he forced me or irritated me by constant calls or passive aggression. But he was tremendously helpful and made sure that the vehicle was delivered on time in pristine condition. At one point in time, I almost have gone for Ford Eco-Sport. But it was the dealings of Mr. Anish Thomas that I stayed back with Nexon, and I am glad for that.
Mr. Ajith, the Sales Manager, and Mr.Penu, the Customer Relations Manager are another couple of people who deserves to be mentioned. They were cool, rational, and always available to explain things when I had issues related to buying insurance. They never gave me a false promise, and always told me the truth. Respect them for that. Although I haven't met the accessory shop in charge of MK Motors, Kottayam, Mr. Naveesh, he was truly very good. He never forced me to buy accessories but he was so professional that I decided to go for a seat cover although initially, I was planning to go for aftermarket seat covers. I was a little worried about how my seat covers would really fit and feel because what I saw was just a couple of WhatsApp pictures. But when I actually saw it, I was more than impressed. It was truly premium and you would never get that quality with the aftermarket with that money. So I highly recommend the accessory shop.
Overall, I was more than happy with my vehicle as well as my purchase at MK Motors. It is just one week, so too early to say anything about the service experience.
Best wishes to potential buyers.
