Well I am off to college and needed a phone to stay in touch with my girl, so I picked this up second hand , for about 1700 INR, or roughly 33$,
before I could make proper use of it, a very close friend of mine wanted to check how sturdy it was and he did it by stepping on it while gettin up on a park(u know, enjoyin the day, sittin in a park, just attended a call)
well it was 95 kgs on it, and it cracked the cover a little and the speaker was damages, but all I had to do was take a small pin a lift the tin cover from the speaker coz ti had been pressed inwards.
Network coverage is at par with other phones, but conversation does tend to be a problem if its below 3 points out of the total 4.
i think ill have to change the battery now, coz it gives me only a day of backup and about an hour of talk time.
Where I am I have free sms services, but the buttons are rubbery and the circuitry if of the old kind like in video games. I also have a nokia 3310 at home and they smoothness and the clicks of the key make it a better performer by far.
but for the price whos complaining.
i was needin predictive text smsing like in the nokia, I do have it but like u can store new words and the phone learns them, u cannot do it in the trium.
Also, the screen is pretty clear, but I dunno if its my phone , but it seems to be too inside the phone and in daylight its difficult to read along the edges, dunno maybe other users could tell me if its somethin with my phone or they agree...
the hands free speaker is a good option and since my earpiece speaker is screwed , im using that only for conversation.
Overall, if u got one, dont let go, pretty tough to find a small phone for this price, and believe me all my friends are suprized at its size and value for money.
i am willin to sell it, lookin to upgrade to a nokia, anyone around delhi , contact me at kbjeffq@yahoo.com
