Bought two machines - a 2.0 TR and a 1.5 TR - was happy to see the product looked big and good.
Trouble started as I requested the dealer - Siva Aircon - Ghaziabad - for the 0% scheme. asking for 0% scheme put me in the category of a CHEAP customer, even thought the company was promoting it with the dealer.
Well sent my docs and go the two machines to my apartment. Down payment pending from my end.
2.0 TR installation
The so called "engineer" from the company was supposed to come at 9.30 am. -a local mechanic landed at 2.30 pm.
Started the process of mounting the stand, ok- mounted the outdoor unit- hit the coils to the stand - causing a dent in the new shining coils.
Pipes installed - no pipe bending tool used - hence pipe pinched at two places . I asked the mechanic to test the circuit - imagine a 2.0 TR evaporator coil is tested by a big PHOOOO. he actually put his mouth on to one end and blew with all his might and claimed that air was coming out from the other end and everything was good.
Next step the vacuum pump -was leaking oil- he said this is all they have and no meter to check for pressure or vacuum.
The pump ran for 10 mins, the mechanic knew without any measuring meter that absolute vacuum had been achieved.
Opened the ac gas and switched on the AC the fan started, the compressor started, outside temperature was 36 degrees, No cooling?
The essential fundamentals at this stage are two - one you check for temperature of "return" i.e. the gas coming back from the evaporator coil. The second is you check the amps being consumed by the compressor - well he did not have a clamp meter, and can you actually believe he touched the external part of the wire and said he could FEEL everything was ok.
No cooling still they ran the AC for 30 min well the fan was nice no cooling still.
I escalated this matter to the owner of the service center having spent 6 hours - Mr.Mukesh - mobile no - 9953787155, and the dealer Siva Aircon - Mr Sunil Mobile no- 9717372798.
Mr Mukesh came the next day - cut the pipes, removed the pinched section, put the pipes properly, lost some gas doing this - connected the AC - ran it for an hour - NO COOLING!
Ran away without talking to me. no report was made .
ON the phone then claimed that I did not know anything and the AC is 100% good- so I told him to put his money where is mouth is . if I am wrong I will take the AC= pay the full cash or else if he is wrong the AC is free- he agreed and and promised that he will not run away from his commitment.
The moment the dealer heard this - he disowned Mr Mukesh - and told me that he was not interested in experiments and would prefer to take the AC's back- to which I readily agreed.
Next Day - I spoke to the Head of India Service Mr Bhasker Pandey- mobile no- 9999867293, I told him that I would like to speak to Mr Takashi the India Head - he told me that he was responsible for the service aspect and would get everything done and there was no need for me to speak to anyone else. Also he told me that INDIANS are more happy speaking to JAPANESE as they think the Japanese will listen .
Further he said he would connect me to Mr. Takashi if I may kindly tell him the entire episode. well once I told him the entire story again- here comes the ICING on the cake- he told me that Mr. Takashi has been transferred out of India and there is no point speaking to Mr. Takashi. also that he has just found out that Mr. Takashi has been transferred.
It stood proven that not just the dealer or the local service center but the entire chain from top to the bottom was corrupt.
Mr Bhasker Pandey told his local ENGINEER- Mr Aryendra Pratap- Mobile no- 8510079542 to look at the machine- this person was prompt - informed me that he might be late and landed up as per the time agreed, but came with no instruments!
Finally they put a single pressure meter and found that the AC has enough gas but there was no return coming or cooling in the room. having spent two hours and having spoken to 20 people - he told me that their(Mitsubishi) PARAMETERS of a 2 ton AC to START cooling a 268 sqft room was 45 minutes.
So we did that - we ran the AC for about 30 mins . no cooling .
Can you actually believe that in the entire process - no once was a digital thermometer used to measure temperature! In fact they did not have a thermometer .
Having take the painful decision of returning the AC's - I was so upset with the FALIURE of the entire Mistubishi team. I had spent 3 days . really wanted these machines. yet . here I was .
But wait - the Insult was yet to come. I got a call from the dealer . who I had kept regularly informed throughout the whole process. I was called a GHAYITA person because I stole a stabilizer . stole- man his team and the mitsubishi team had given me a receipt in writing or having received the goods back. yet!
The dealer tried his level best to insult me and put the blame of the failure of the team on my head . also he claimed that the same team had installed AC's in Sachin Tendulkar's home in Mussorie and since they had faced no problem there . I am to be blamed for the entire mess in Ghaziabad.
I was also told that since I had not paid the down payment the AC was not cooling! If I had paid the down payment then the scenario would have been different and I would have been at a much weaker position and would have accepted!
Excellent product - ruined by a confused, egoistic, untrained, corrupt set of people!
Was there a single point where they did not mess up?
