One cold afternoon in the Gulf of Kuwait 7th Feb, 2000 I walked into the Mitsubishi showroom only to be greeted by this very own car, I now own, it was the Lancer….it all starts here
As I walked into the showroom lined with different models of mitsubihi cars I was pulled back by what seemed to be my Tshirt stuck into the one of the mirrors of the car. Its like the car was telling me not to bother going ahead as this was the one destined for me. Im not very superstitious…but it almost seemed more true as when I grabbed the door knob the hazard lights beeped 2wice…opened up the door of a usually locked car. To my amazement….i learnt that all the other cars were locked, somehow this one had stayed open. Well from there it was all magical, the salesman who greeted me…opted givin me an instant test drive which I readily took, furthermore it was in my fav color a firing sporty Red, full option except for the no sunroof…..and to top it off I received an excellent discount on the vehicle which convinced me that this was the car. As u might’ve guessed I was the proud owner of that lancer.
Well abt the car:
Its definitely affordable, a car worth its price.
Comes in fascinating colors making it fit every Profile
The exterior is very shapely…looks very cool and suited for most terrain.
The interior…very spacious making it a family car.
Thrusts of the 1.5 litre engine is very expandable
Mileage control is fine as compared to its performance.
Storage cud be rated at 65% with 4 passengers
Overall handling and mantainence 75% to 80% very feasible.
One word of Advise:
Any car treated with respect will give you tremendous output, provided u maintain that special bond with your car. It maybe just a vehicle, but I believe it feels and cares just like we do. Always keep it well serviced, checking battery, fluids timing belts, transmission, gears etc are all very important. Always try and keep it clean too u never know who's admiring its beauty. I do all the things mentioned above and till date haven’t got any complaints in the 4 yrs im drivin it around…I don’t think u will have any complaints too if u see to all these things regularly.
Safety tip:
always keep the doors locked, wear the seatbelt, check fuel level and adjust mirrors, and before takin off see that the car temp(engine) is warm enough specially in winter.
Conclusion:
The Lancer is def well suited for everybody above 18 ie, great car for personal or family use, sporty reliable and One of a Kind
