India is becoming one of the richest countries in the world. With all your richs there is slavery still happening in your country. Don't you think it is time to pay people for the work they do.
In Canada we have a ‘minimum wage’ for the people who do the lowest paying jobs. Children can’t work until they are sixteen. I would never tell another country what to do but the BABY GAP issue has recently come to my attention.
GAP:
I use to love to buy cloths from the GAP STORES. I often bought gifts at BABY GAP.
The best time to buy GAP cloths is when they go on sale.
Gap Childrens' cloths are made in 4 countries, one of them is India.
I Read In Our Local Newspaper:
"The hardships that blight there lives was exposed by an undercover Observer investigation in the back streets of New Delhi.
It reveal a tragic consequence of the West's demand for cheap clothing.
It exposes how, despite Gap's rigorous social audit systems launched in 2004 to weed out child labour in its production processes, the system is being abused by unscrupulous subcontractors.
The result is that children, in this case working in conditions that are making them slaves because they are not paid for their work.
The factory in question was discovered in the Shahpur Jat area of Dehli. The children were filthy while they were working."
Me:
I won't be buying Gap clothing again.
I also was writing for an Indian base site called MouthShut:
MouthShut:
MouthShut does not pay their writters and I have asked them to return to the time they did, (when I first joined the site). They are the only site on the web that doesn't offer either money, vouchers or allow us to give our money as donations to charities.
I Am Posting This On MouthShut Because:
It is always hard to say "good-bye" but I must say it to you.
I have enjoyed reading your reviews and I feel like I have make a lot of friends on MouthShut.
MouthShut is the only writers that does not pay their writers. That makes each of us a slave.
Thank You:
All for reading this and all of my reviews.
