The Internet Explorer 6.0 was my upgrade from 5.5.
The 'new look' and added features impressed me, but suddenly I couldn't access web pages that opened multiple windows and could't have two windows at a time. This worked well, while the adds were blocked, but then it also obstructed my ability to access pdf files on the web and such.
I tried to re-install the product, but since IE 6.0 glues itself to the system, I couldn't de-install it for the re-installation in the first place. Since, then I have downloaded innumerable patches from the update site, but haven't been able to fix the problem. Someone suggested disabling the security features, doing this didn't solve my problem either. I just gave up and downloaded the Netscape Navigator.
I was always a patron of IE, but since it doesn't respect the consumer's decision, I decided to switch to Netscape.
Microsoft needs to stop being a bully and needs to button up its old ways to maintain its brand loyalty.
